162 | Meet the Founding Partner Mentor: Brianne Heape
===
~ Hey friends,~ [00:00:00] welcome back to the Called to Lead podcast, where today I'm going to be introducing you to a dear, sweet, special friend that we go way back. And you're going to get to hear another story from one of our founding partner mentors for restore collective. So get excited to meet Brianne Heape and hear her heart on all the things.
Let's dive in. [00:01:00]
Yay, Brianne. I feel like it's about time that I get to share more of your story. Cause I know I've talked about you on the podcast and shared little bits here and there, but I'm so excited to finally have you here to be able to share from your heart, basically your entire journey in network marketing, which was by accident, right?
It's my fault and also by accident, but how you've grown in leadership ~and top,~ I mean, watching what you were able to do in your previous. Experience has been so amazing and so inspiring as a leader. And I know your team would say the same, but then being able to watch you step into this role and align with the other founding partner mentors.
And I just, I cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store for us together. Restore. So thank you for being here. I'm so excited.[00:02:00]
And a fellow Georgia girl, too. We're, we're so close, but yet so far apart, ~which we are together.~ But, ~uh, well, let's,~ before we, you know, kind of get into all the little questions, I would love for you to just share a little bit more about your background and kind of tell more about how we had connected, of course, just as friends, like actually in Savannah, because you used to live here.
~Um,~ but then how you got into direct sales and then just your family and all the things. Well, I'm Brianne Heap. I am a homeschooled mama of three. I live and raise my family in South Georgia. I met my husband in high school, but we were just friends for a really long time. It wasn't until later,~ um, ~Really in college that we started hanging out more.
We got engaged in 2011 and at the time I was living and working in Savannah, Georgia for the chamber of commerce. And I had met Heather at an after hours, ~um,~ networking event and just adored her from the start, ~um,~ [00:03:00] at the time was not engaged. So I didn't have like a reason to go to her bridal boutique, but I knew that when the day came that I would be shopping there.
~Um,~ so my now has been proposed in 2011. I had always dreamed of wearing my mom's wedding gown. And so I knew I wouldn't be shopping for a bridal gown, but I knew that I wanted to shop at Heather's boutique. And so I took my bridesmaids there and that's where we got their bridesmaids dresses. And yeah, we got married in early ~Like,~ May of 2012, and pregnant in 13, a baby in 14, pregnant in 15, a baby in 16, pregnant in 17, and another baby in 18, and that's where we're done.
So, ~um,~ I have three kids, they are 10, 8, and 6, and One thing that I just continuously am blessed by the direct sales industry is the fact that I can homeschool my [00:04:00] kids. It was a passion of mine. My husband and I were both homeschooled. ~Um,~ I don't know that he anticipated we would homeschool our kids, but in the back of my mind growing up, it was just always something that I anticipated and desired.
Didn't know if it would be an option. ~I work for a company, a local credit union. Well, it's really, it's not a local credit union.~ I work for a credit union and have for the past 14 years and I love it there. I, they have been incredible for me, ~um,~ to allow me to work from home, even before that was the norm and to homeschool my kids.
~And I just appreciate that flexibility. I worked at the chamber of commerce and then I. Went back to where I interned and started working for the credit union. And somewhere along the way I realized that while a corporate job is really a blessing and I've been blessed by it, um, earning a raise or a bonus is not so easily given or I don't even know how to say that.~
~Like I, it's not easily obtainable. It's not something I can count on. It's not something that I can necessarily. Determine on my own. And I was. In the process of, I don't know what I'm trying to say now. Um, can you edit this out? Of course. I~
~really don't want to say as much as I did about the credit union. You're good. I feel like you could even, I feel like what you said about the, um, The part about it being a blessing. I think, I think you could just move into the, um, like maybe how you found network marketing or something like that. You know what I mean?~
~Like how you like try the product, you know, product. They was a, how it blessed me financially. But when I joined, that wasn't what I was joining for. So I'm trying to wrap my head around how I want to say that. Like I didn't join because of the money. Cause I didn't believe that was there. I. But in turn, that's the part I want to share.~
~I want to share how it really blessed my family, like after that. So I guess I just don't really want to start with like the credit union part being why I joined. That's not why I joined. Right. Right. Yeah. So I think, I think what you said about the credit union is perfect. So I think just like, I think just tell the story of how, like I, how you, I didn't remember how you saw me and.~
~And I don't remember. I know we just talked about it too. ~ Okay. So I'm working at the credit union, extremely happy in my career and. I'm mid thirties and realize I don't know how to wear makeup and I want to look more professional. And Heather pops up live on my Facebook one morning and I'm a non makeup girly, like I'm girly, but I was never taught how to apply makeup very well.
Didn't know what I was doing. And so I see her do this. Super simple makeup [00:05:00] routine on social media live before church one morning and was like, wow, she made that look really easy. And so in the coming weeks, I started watching and like paying attention. It was like, it feels easy enough that maybe I could do it.
And so after a few weeks of just watching, I reached out and was like, I want. To try this makeup. I'm in my mid thirties. I would like to look professional for this career at the time I had one child so I was still working in the office at that point And I was like, I just want to look professional for this professional role i'm working in and right now I'm not bronzer's not cutting it anymore too old and so I ordered this makeup from heather and In a matter of weeks, ~I had,~ my friends were like, if Brianne can wear this makeup, then I can wear this makeup.
What is she doing differently? Like people were asking me if I was pregnant, like they had, they were like, you, you just all of a sudden have this glow up. Well, I was so excited to feel that confident in who I was at the time. So I reached out to [00:06:00] Heather and was like, I don't understand what you're doing, but.
I think I want to do it. And I was like, do you have ~like~ a referral link or something? And she was like, well, actually you can, you can do this. And so I blindly joined direct sales having no idea what I was doing. Having no idea that there was money to be made. I just thought I might get some free makeup and launched a business that turned into a very life changing decision.
So that's how that started. That was September of 2017. And I'm pretty sure like, I grew a team crazy fast and ranked and and genuinely had no idea that I had. I didn't understand any aspect of it. ~Um,~ I just knew that I was sharing a product that I loved and helping other women feel confident and beautiful.
And my friends. And we're like, well, if she can do it, this non makeup [00:07:00] girl, then I can do it. And it was just kind of like a telephone, like, you know, it just a reaction, everybody wanted it. And it turned into something really incredible. So fast forward a few months and I realized that there's actually money to be made in this industry.
And Without going into too much detail, my husband was kind of in a job that wasn't great for our family or him. And, ~um, ~I wanted him out of it. I didn't want ~ ~to proceed in life and growing a family if he were going to stay in that work environment. And so I just started saving all these little dollars that I was making and praying and believing that the Lord would use this unexpected business opportunity to bless my family.
And I did it quietly. I don't even think I told my husband that I was saving this money, but [00:08:00] I knew that life couldn't continue as is. ~And, um, I found out later that year that I was saved. Um, I guess maybe I was pregnant. What happened to that? I'm trying to remember what year that was. Probably. I think it was in 2018.~
~Yeah, because we have to tell,~ we have got to tell the Salt Lake City story at some point. Yes. We can, we'll get to it because that's a good one. Keep listening. So I joined in 2017. So early 2018, I guess I was pregnant and knew that ~we had,~ we had decided he was not going to be in this job anymore before.
We had another baby and here I was pregnant and about to have another baby. And I was like, this can't happen. So in a few months I saved. a substantial amount of money to cover our bills and just went to him and said, You know this little business that I unintentionally started I've been saving all the money and I want you to quit your job I want you to walk away and I want you to pursue he had a dream of owning his own business and doing home inspections and I was like I knew training would be involved and he wasn't going to do that and not be able to ~sort~ support his family and so I was like, here is [00:09:00] three months worth of savings saved up.
I'm tired of living like this, like pursue your dreams. And thankfully that unexpected business through the Lord ~provided, um, or the Lord~ provided through that unexpected business opportunity. And so he was able to quit his job that spring. He trained and started his own business that fall. ~Um,~ we welcomed our third child in September.
And prior to that, ~um,~ we had a company event that was in August and I was very pregnant, like five weeks. And, ~um, ~I was like, I'm going, I want to see my friends. I want to be in Salt Lake city. And I just asked my doctor like, what's the worst case scenario? And he said, you have a baby in Salt Lake city.
And I was like, all right, well, then I'm going. ~We,~ a friend went with me from South Georgia, and we met [00:10:00] Heather out there, and it was an ordeal getting there. I probably shouldn't have been traveling, but my roommate had a stomach bug, and so Heather was like, I'm gonna help you get another hotel. I have this friend that I can put you in a room with.
It was like Midnight or later, and I'm getting there and we're trying to find me a room and Delta had left my bag out on the tarmac, so it was soaking wet and all the clothes inside of it were wet, and Heather sent me to the wrong hotel. So at like, it was so comforting for people listening, but I love this story so much.
I was like knocking on this person's door at like 2 a. m. and I'm like, she's like, are you there? I'm like, I'm knocking on the door, but they're not answering. And the other person's like, she is not here and come to find out there were [00:11:00] two of the same hotel in the same city, just different ones. And I was at the wrong one.
Anyway, I don't think my parents even worry. My dad still, to this day, I'm like, he would freak out. Great. It was an amazing story. Fabulous. ~But at the time, I took a cab, not an Uber. For listeners out there. I cabbed to the other hotel at like 2 a. m. Finally got there, slept in a room with strangers.~ It was quite the experience.
But I did not have a baby in Salt Lake City. I made at home without that, so that was good. But, oh my gosh, I, it's still one of my favorite moments at the end of this, which I was feeling terrible for, like, basically being like, you have to be there. Of course you can come seven months pregnant or whatever.
However, you know, far along, I'm like, of course, like you can't miss it. And then sending her to the wrong thing and seeing all the crazy things. Well, the last day of the event, she won a free freaking trip and got to take her sweet baby Aurelia to this trip. And ~like, I will never, like,~ I will always think of her as this like little, like miracle baby and thinking of her in your belly and all of the goodness that can come from even the hard things, ~um,~ that we go through and even the [00:12:00] crazy.
I don't want to say, well, yeah, mistakes, bad decisions or bad directions or whatever it is, like the Lord works it all together for good. And so I just love that story. It turned out to be such a fun story and a great memory that the end of the event, they decided to randomly do a drawing and it was me and it was really neat experience.
And, ~um,~ they asked me like on stage, ~like, you know,~ what are you going to do? I'm like, I'm going to go home and get this unborn baby a passport. Like, I mean, she was like, teensy on her passport photo. But I was like, we're going to Mexico and we did. And it was, it was amazing. Have a really cool trip and experience and another blessing from direct sales that I never, ever saw or dreamed of.
So fun experience. Well, and, you know, it's so wild, like, hearing you tell that story, like, I forgot that we had met at a networking event, and, you know, I obviously had the whole entire year with Scale Without Social, [00:13:00] as you know, I'm still, even though you are amazing on social media, if you guys want to follow Brianne, Heape of love is that, is that your handle?
Yes, go to, go follow her, because she is You're so good on social. And because it brings her joy, ~it brings her, you know, a, just,~ it brings light and she brings light to the space in a beautiful way. But I just, I love that that's how we met, was like at a networking event. And it wasn't until years later that you became a customer, right?
In multiple ways. And then of course we got to do business together and then look at the fruit of that. But then I also, one of the things that I have to say is one of my favorite attributes of you as a leader, and it speaks to the success. Cause as you were talking, I'm sure people are like, Oh, it's that easy.
I just like, you know, share the product and make a bunch of money and retire my husband. It's like, well, no, it's not that that results, not typical. You know, it's not that easy, but the reason you had that success. Because your heart was in the right place, first of all, and because despite being a working homeschooling mama of three, well, two to three, you know, you, like, were able to do this in a [00:14:00] way that was relatable to people, both sharing the product, right, but then also the way you ran your business, I still have learned so much from you in terms of, like, just scheduling it out and having an intentional structure in your day, your month, ~um,~ and then even writing down your goals.
I can remember you doing that where it was like very, very clear of like, this is what I want to achieve in this month and, and working towards it. And they were attainable goals. It wasn't like you were, you know, like, Oh, I'm going to sell this insane amount or even qualify for the trip. Right. But like in your faithfulness and in your diligence, like you got to experience the fruit and the blessing and the fulfillment.
At whatever level you were along the way. And I just like that to me is one of the things, one of the, I mean, you have so many amazing leadership qualities, but that I just have to say ~is,~ is, has been a joy to watch, ~um,~ you grow. So how do you balance at all working? Well, I would say I like sped through that story because it was such a big impact for me, like a surprise, but I will [00:15:00] go back and say that when I joined, I joined for a free product.
~Like,~ I was not like, I didn't know the opportunity. I had no belief in this industry because I knew nothing about it, not because it wasn't there. And so it was just like, when I got a glimpse that I could use it and leverage it and that the Lord had. For sure had his hand on the timing of that, that ~to like~ the Lord knew my heart and he knew what my family needed and he provided and he used to that.
And it was. You showing me~ like~ the potential, my potential and showing me that ~like ~setting goals. I knew nothing about goal setting when I joined. Like, I just said, Oh, well, I want to, I want free makeup, so I'll do this. Or, you know, ~um,~ I didnt consider myself a salesperson. I've never been a top salesperson.
If you're, you don't know me, you would, I'm not okay. I, that was never even a goal of mine, but I have been very good at. saying, or at least I've been taught, you know, ~like I want this,~ I want the next three months. [00:16:00] Commissions to help me save so my husband can pursue something different ~or, you know, like later, fast forward, I'm way jumping the gun, but I spent seven years in this industry and I set a goal to purchase a camper.~
Those are big things, but none of them were easy or quick, ~like, you know, um, ~they took a lot of time management and the same for like homeschooling my family. ~I joined.~ My heart at the end of the day, the reason that I feel so passionately about direct sales is because it allows so many people to pursue their passions.
~And for me, homeschooling was that I didn't know if one day I would wake up and the credit union would say. And my job would say, you can't work from home anymore. You can't homeschool your kids. You can't have that flexibility.~ And I knew that in raising a family, I desired that. And that's what I really wanted was that flexibility to be with my family.
And so I managed my time really well. ~Like I,~ not everyone would agree with that, but I know what I have to do. And so. I know my plate is full. I do tend to say, yes, I'm working on that. Like, ~like~ what I say is to realistically, but one thing that I try to teach. Other people that I mentor is time [00:17:00] management and how to start with your priorities and And I do I time block like I have windows of time for school I have windows of time for work.
I have windows of time for mentoring I have windows of time for content creation and there are things that like there are days that content creation doesn't happen because The priority is my family. And so I'm glad that you see that and you think that it's a positive quality. I definitely aim for it to be, but there are definitely days I failed.
But I do believe that if you You want something and you have a plan and a goal that like with some time management, you can make it work. Whether you're working ~ ~like a corporate job or you're working from home or this is your job. I believe that it's all about carving out that time and like making it a priority.
And with that, I think. comes the success and like achieving of those goals. And [00:18:00] for me, that has definitely been proven. Like I didn't start out thinking, Oh, I'm going to be a top leader or I'm going to lead a team. In fact, that probably would have scared me. ~Like~ I probably don't want that back then. ~Like,~ I'm like, I've got a baby, ~you know, like~ that probably wouldn't have been ~like~ the nudge.
And so maybe ~like. ~The fact that I didn't really know what I was getting into was like a real blessing. ~Um,~ it's challenged me and I've grown so much and I've definitely seen the potential in myself and in this industry and I love that. Oh my gosh. Well, I'm like over here taking notes about this time management.
I feel like I need to take some of your, I don't know. how you do it all.. Oh, well, I mean, we were saying that before we hit record. ~Like I said, ~sometimes I don't either. And I'm like, Oh, it's only the Lord. That's the only answer. I'm like, it literally is only any good thing. I know I've said that on this podcast for any good thing.
It's all from him. ~Um,~ for sure. Including the time and the time it is, it's like he provides the time, but it is up to us with how we choose to use it [00:19:00] and prioritize. And I'm with you. I definitely do not get it right. A lot of the time, but at the same time, he can use it ~and,~ and, and you can be intentional about it and you can learn and grow.
Even if it's not something that is, comes naturally to you. It's like a muscle, it's like, You know, like with anything else, the more you do it, the habits that you create, you can, you can run with it. So let's shift into talking about Restore.~ So, um, obviously like we've been together, working together for a very, very long time.~
~So it was sort of a natural fit for you to be a part of this, but at the same time, like tell the story for, from your perspective of how this all kind of came together with you being a part of Restore. Oh, long time coming, I feel like, but, um,~
~I'm cautious with how, what I'm saying, thinking about what I want to say.~
~The beginning? I think so. Yeah. Okay. Or, oh, oh, like the trip to, like the. Yeah. How about, I'll share that. I'll share that part of the story. So Linda. Okay. Cut this part out. Um, are you, were you talking about like the, how we had the trip planned? And then, well, kind of, I didn't really want to talk about how things ended with Saint.~
~I just kind of want to start with how this all started. I mean. And I wanted to say, obviously, Lindsay, you can cut this out, but I wanted to talk about, like, Nearsporn, like, look, you're, you came for Nearsporn, but, like, I don't think I can say all that, so that was why I was hesitating. Actually, I think you can.~
~We, we can say, we can, we can say that, so I'll, I'll tee up the, I'll tee, because I think I even talked about it on one of the other ones, like, how we were supposed to have the retreat, um, so let me, I'll tee it up, and then, Maybe say something like, what, you know, it didn't start with how, like, we didn't always have makeup, you know, all of those things.~
~Yeah, I'll say something like that. Does that work? And then, and then you can say, yeah. But yeah, you can say, you can say the Neosporin part, because it's kind of funny, and it's true. So, um, okay, so when it, uh, no, how do I say this, um, I'm trying to remember what I said. I said something about, um, how it came to be with Restore.~
~Um, ~so obviously we worked together in the former company together and went through that transition. And you were also a part and supposed to be on the retreat that I had planned for my leaders, right, at the same time all that transition was happening. And so it was such a blessing that you had the dates available to be a part of like that very, very first meeting.
First retreat restore retreat is what I would call it, where we really foundationally built the mission, vision, and values that are legit on my wall back there. Remember those remember doing that Brianne, and it was such a blessing to be able to have you, you know, from the beginning, before we even had makeup or mascara or anything like that.
So tell [00:20:00] me like, from your perspective, what it was like from the beginning. So we already had dates, travel dates together and planned and what felt like earth shattering. And like, I didn't know the future, which we none do even now, but what felt like the end of an era. I knew that whatever that looked like, the relationships I had built and.
That's where I wanted to be. And so dates were already planned and a group of us were getting together. And I remember driving there thinking, whatever she's got up her sleeve, I'm all in because I knew that one of the best blessings from direct sales for me has been Heather as my mentor. She's not only been my friend, but she's been my mentor for seven years at this point.
And so even though. Like, things that seemed so absolute were [00:21:00] shattering at the time. There was so much hope in this, like, friendship and relationship and the people that were going to be there. Like, it wasn't just Heather. There were a group of us and, and I needed that. I knew without a shadow of doubt that I needed to be there.
And so on the way I get a phone call from Heather. Well, I actually got a text. This is very Heather. This is very Heather. She sends a text. I was like, Hey, are you going to be in the car? And I need to talk. And I'm like, yes. And 10 minutes passed. And I'm like, are you going to call? And she's like, And then like 30 minutes past and the girl riding with me, my friend, Grace was like, ~um,~ are you concerned?
She isn't calling you. And I was like, no, it's very Heather. She'll call in a little bit. And then like another 30 minutes past, she's like, I'm getting concerned. Can you like text her again? So I text her, I'm like, Hey, are you going to call? And she's like, yes. And then she answers the phone with don't run off the road.
And I'm like. What are you about to tell me? Like, what is, [00:22:00] what is this? So we're on the way to this retreat and she tells me that there is a chance that it can be. Something else other than just a news for an ointment cream. Like that's legit. I thought I knew I was going to have like Fellowship with people that I cared about greatly and didn't know when I would see again Like that's what I went into this for, but I also knew that Heather had an opportunity that she planned on presenting to us.
And I believed it was for ~a,~ a restorative ointment, like Neosporin. And I was all in, I was like, I don't know how I'm going to sell or promote Neosporin, but you know what? If Heather believes in it, she believes in me, I'm going to be there. And so when she called her, her announcement was. That we were gonna do makeup.
I was like what this talk about just like A complete direction shift. But anyway, I'm still equally excited [00:23:00] about the restorative ointment. So, you know, ~I'm all,~ I'm all in. Man. Oh, literally, like, laughing and looking back on that entire season just with so much joy. That's, I just, that story is never ever going to get old.
But I love that this is a perfect continuation for us and it's obviously a perfect ~finale.~ Fit for, from a product perspective, for exactly what helped you be successful and mentor so many women in, in your past life. This is a little different, but I feel like it's an ~even, even, um,~ even better fit. So I'm just so happy to have you here.
So let's dive in to some of the questions ~that are, that the,~ that I'm asking all of you guys so that you know, people who are just kinda wanting to get to know you. specifically, ~um,~ that they can learn more about you. But before I get into the questions, I want to spotlight your five gifts. So this, when you kind of, initially we were getting started and I wanted to make sure that everybody that was a part of this group had a really diverse background of gifts and skillsets and all of the things.
And so I had you take an assessment. Do you remember this, the high five [00:24:00] test? Yeah. And your five, your top five, ~uh,~ gifts were optimism, believer, timekeeper, hello, time blocking, brainstormer, and winner. And I just love those for you. What do you think about them? Like, do you feel like they're an accurate reflection of who Lord made you to be?
Yes. For sure. What did you say the first one was? ~Um,~ optimism. Optimist. Oh, yes, I can be. Sometimes I, I've been told before that I see three rose colored glasses all the time and sometimes I feel like it can be to a fault, but I definitely think that it's a gift and a blessing that I can always find the positive in the situation or the circumstances.
I definitely think all of those. really ~ ~define me well. Like, and I just love that. Like, I mean, some, [00:25:00] some people, I think when they like. Take a test like that like I know I love I could take all the tests I have taken all the tests pretty much so like I can geek out over those But I think others like don't realize that we all have been given unique gifts and skill sets and sometimes you just think it's just normal But it's not like that Like you said that optimism obviously I've talked about how I'm optimistic to a fall on here, too But and actually in that season of hurt and transition I had to really kind of check myself and I actually had a mutual friend of ours ~Um,~ who's not with Restore, ~um,~ but she's a mutual friend.
She had to kind of keep me in check because it was, that hope and that optimism was really hard to see when I was going through that really hard season of the unknown, but she was like, no, that's what we need. Like that, that's exactly when we need it the most. And so I think that's a beautiful gift. ~Um,~ and I love that we have the same optimistic gift, but it's also balanced by all of the other things too.
So I love the Lord made you exactly who you were meant to be on purpose. So the next question is, if you had to pick one of our core values, which I know [00:26:00] there's probably more than one that's going to speak to your heart, but if you had to pick one or a couple, if you have to, that most resonate with you, what would it be?
Okay. I wrote them all down yesterday and was like, I made a list because I was like, I know she's going to ask me to pick one. And there's a reason there are 12. They're all so good. And in full transparency here, I'm going to just say that the Bible. study girl in me wants to say biblical wisdom. However, I, and while that is super important, and I think that is the key to the success in this company and our future and in each of our lives, I think that family is probably where I'm at.
I just know that at the end of the day, when I think about all that I do, I do it for my family and I love that I [00:27:00] have that, like, flexibility to be with them, and I know that this time with them is, is invaluable, and I'm grateful that I can still do something, pursue something that, like, I love and I'm passionate about and enjoy while still pouring back into them and investing in their lives.
And so, ~ ~It's so hard. Abundance. ~Um,~ growth. I mean, there's so many good ones. Like, truly, these core values are life changing, specifically for this industry, but just all around. There's just Don't make me pick one. I won't. I love, I love that you said that. And I love that you said the family thing, because it is, it's like, it's for your family.
It's like a family. And I know that we have already experienced the blessing of that. And we haven't even like launched yet. So it's really It's been incredible to be able to like bring my family in on this new [00:28:00] venture. Yeah, definitely. That was a good answer. I love it. ~Um,~ all right, let's speaking of family.
So obviously you'll have as a founding partner mentor, you'll kind of have your own family tree, if you will, within the bigger, big tree of restore. And so we're kind of calling him branches, like Literally calling them branches even in the comp plan in certain certain aspects which speaking of the comp plan I always like to drop little nuggets Make sure that you're connected to the focus group By filling out the little survey and of course if you want Brianne to be your mentor You can check her name on there But ~um,~ we are already sharing some nuggets of goodness with the focus group around the comp plan So if you want the scoop and details on that make sure that you are connected To that by filling out that survey so a little plug there But for your branch of the big family tree of restore What do you envision to be kind of some of the things that'll set, set you apart?
Not better, just different and unique. ~ ~
~About me, myself as a leader. Yeah. Or how you expect to lead or what you're, what you envision your branch to be like? ~Well, I definitely feel like it will be full of women who don't even pretend that we have it all together because we don't, ~I don't think that there's any one thing that defines. our team per se?~
~Are you asking me more so like who? Well, that's kind of the next question is like your ideal partner or advocate, like your dream teamie. So you can totally combine them together. Like what do you, how do you envision like your family culture or your family, you know, branch to what it's going to be like?~
~Sorry, Lindsay, you're going to have some editing to do. Um,~
~ ~I think a [00:29:00] culture as a whole and things~ that have really, ~that I found as a blessing in the direct sales industry has been the community and the way that we encourage and uplift each other. I don't think that. Encouraging one another is something that necessarily comes natural to everyone, and I personally have found my optimism sometimes, but also that I'm like a cheerleader through and through, and so I feel like ~Encourage, like ~an encouraging group of women, no matter what there is your business or your life, finding those connections and relationships that uplift and encourage and build you up and reiterate your value and your worth day in and day out are things that most of us deal with and we don't always have those encouragers to like, get you through the day and get you through the week and through the hurdles.
And while I know that our strength and value and worth should come from the Lord, I think sometimes [00:30:00] we need those affirmations and that encouragement. And I hope that whatever culture is built here, that I am always. The encourager that I'm always going to let you know that I believe in you, I believe in your worth and your value and I will cheer you on through it all.
I love that. So it's funny. And right when you're saying I'm like, Oh, so you're basically it's going to be like a cheerleading team. And I was like, Oh, wait, that's probably not going to be appealing to some people. You and I, we'd be all about. We're like, sign me up. Just kidding. But like, not an actual cheer team, ~like, but like the tight, like ~where it's like, again, it's, it's all diverse, but it's like the big picture is truly community.
to excite and encourage and bring together that positivity and realism, right? ~Um,~ to the group. So I, I love that. I love that answer. And you know that, ~um,~ actually I almost made, ~um,~ the Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. I don't remember what it's called, but whatever that Netflix show like required watching when we were doing the founding partner mentor thing.
Cause I was like, y'all are like the kick line and we all have to like support each other. [00:31:00] So, yes, so that's exactly, it's a beautiful explanation. I was a cheerleader in high school, and I do think, you know, that's not going to appeal to everybody, but I do think that one of my gifts is encouraging others, and I hope that the Lord uses that through this branch of a community, ~or through a branch of this, my branch, I don't know how to say that, my limb.~
~I don't know. ~Yes, I love it. Well, the last thing we want to chat about is the product. So, I want to hear what your favorite is, but before we get there, I want to talk about how we've named them after grandmas. And I realized, I literally just realized today, I'm like, Oh, you've got multiple grandmas and kids actually represented.
And so ~I want to hear, you can,~ you can pick one, whether it's. Aurelia or because you got Aurelia Fay Joy. Joy belle right. Like were they all your grandmas or ~'cause. Yeah, tell me, tell me about the,~ tell me about all the names or pick one. Fun fact about me is I'm, I already told you that I knew I wanted to wear my mom's wedding dress.
So I'm very [00:32:00] sentimental and a bit traditional. And I just adamantly was like, my children will all be named after family. Like. They need to be a good person, you know, I didn't just want to pick a pretty name that I like, there's nothing wrong with that. But I also can be indecisive. And so I just felt like I would always be grateful.
I named them after someone that influenced mine or my husband's life or our parents lives, ~um,~ for generation to come. And so I knew that I was playing it safe by like naming my children after loved ones. And so my oldest daughter is named Joy Belle after my great grandmother. She passed away the summer I was born~ and my mom, she helped ~My mom spent many summers at her home down in Florida and She adored and respected her so much that my middle name is Joy.
So I'm Brianne Joy and [00:33:00] She was who I was named after and then my that is that lip shade Which if it's not in my color season, but I love Barbie pink. So this is so this is Joy Yeah, I love that. That's not, it's not going to be in the warm palette. Sorry, Brie. That's okay. I love it. I feel like it gives the most beautiful sun kissed natural flush.
I love it. I wear it so much. It's probably my favorite, ~um, ~cheek and lip. ~The ~My youngest daughter, the one I was pregnant with on that trip, is named Aurelia Faye, and I know that that's complicated, but my grandmother is that Aurelia? Okay, so Aurelia is my husband's grandmother, and she played a huge role in his life, and She was actually there when we got engaged.
We were very close to one another, ~um,~ love and adore her. She was the life of the party and her [00:34:00] little namesake that I gave birth to is also the life of the party. She definitely holds true to her namesake, but her name is Aurelia and her middle name is Faye and that was my grand mother.~ Um, so.~ We, this is just a tidbit, but ~we,~ my husband and I struggled on names with all three of them.
And every time I would say Aurelia Faye, he would say it sounds like her grandma name and i'm like that's because it is our grandma names like literally our grandmothers. ~Um,~ so it was a hard sell for him, but at the end of the day, we love and respect and just value our relationships with our grandmothers and the influence they had on our lives.
And ~we call,~ I affectionately called Faye Memaw and he called Aurelia Mimi. And ~so, um,~ Oh, which we have a Mimi too! We have a Mimi too! Which other FPMs. I did not mean to name all the colors after Breanne's people. That just, it's crazy. It's crazy how it kind of worked out. Well, Joy, we all know with that [00:35:00] being my word of the year, like obviously one of them.
Well, it was actually on the line before that. But anyways, ~um.~ I love that you name your kids family kids and I'm have them all represented and Aurelia and Faye, which of course, this is mixed with some other stuff, but, um, they're, they are in the warm palette. So, yes, Aurelia eyeshadow, Faye is a cheek and lip and Joy, a ~lip and cheek, I mean, a~ cheek and lip and they.
Together, I will just go ahead and throw it out there. Get both of them when you can because I do like one joy, one say, like I get that warmth, but I love the like Barbie pink undertones when you combine them together, like I did say. list. I love it. Love it. Love it. Love it. Yeah. And as I was putting on Faye, I'm like, whoa, cause I'm more cool.
I'm neutral. But anyway, I'm like, I think I need to wear this more. That's the one I wear the least because I, I, in my head, I'm not warm toned at all. So [00:36:00] anyways, but ~I love, um,~ I love those stories. So if you had to pick a favorite, ~um,~ whether it's one of those or something else, like what's your favorite product, the one that gets you the most excited.
~Okay. And ~you're learning as you listen to this podcast how indecisive I am. I can't just pick one. ~Um, ~okay, so the number one thing that I'm excited about is the renewal lip mend I just can't help it. ~I have so,~ I'm so excited about the renewal molecule and getting it. In everyone's hands, even before I knew makeup was an option, I was pumped about this.
Like I am still excited about it, not just the lip mend but the ointmend and I just, that's the product like for me, that's it. But in the makeup side of it, I. I want to say a cheek and lip because I love those shades, but I really think the bronze and lift just brings it home for me because it adds warmth and color back to your face that just [00:37:00] Makes you look like you're glowing like you truly you do like you you could wear just that and and just Glow and I love that.
I love the warmth that adds back to your face and the dimension and So like that's my makeup products my like every day I'm not a makeup girly still even though I said that like it, you know In the beginning, I wasn't the makeup girl, and that's what sold makeup for me was because I was a not makeup girl.
But, now that I know how to apply makeup better, and I do like it, and I have fun with it. If you were to just pop by my house one day randomly, the odds are~ I'm not going to wear make~ I'm not going to be wearing makeup. Because I do believe in good skin care and I'm very excited about the Renewal Molecule.
The Elixir is, I don't know, I couldn't pick between the Elixir and the Lip Mend and the Ointment. Like, I just think That's the best foundation. It's going to be healthy skin and I'm excited about it. [00:38:00] Yes, I love it. And I love that you were sharing with me before the call that you even mix a little bit of the renewal elixir with your skin tent or even like before you do it.
And I love that too. So I think that's an amazing, ~um,~ amazing thing. And yeah, this reminds me of, of you. Well, cause like even you even love essential oils and all things natural. And so, yeah, I'm, I'm super pumped. So yes, that's it. I love, love, love, love those. The Renewal Molecule is going to be a game changer.
I love it. Well, this has been so fun. I've loved like catching up and even telling like crazy stories about my shortcomings as a leader, which I'm just kidding. I didn't circle back to that, but just full, full. Like end of that story, um, the biggest concern was my roommate had a stomach bug. So like had I ended up in that room, I could have very easily given birth in Utah.
So you saved the day. I ended up with [00:39:00] a, in a hotel room. Yes, there were strangers, but they became friends and I didn't have a baby in Utah. I love it. Oh my gosh. Well, Brianne, I would love for you to wrap us up in prayer. ~Um,~ it's been such a joy and a blessing to have you on here. And I just know everybody that's listening is blessed to you, but if you'll just see us off with a beautiful prayer sister.
Of course. Thank you so much for having me. I'll go ahead and pray. Dear Lord, I lift up all of the listeners to you. I pray that they will be encouraged to pursue and know you more daily. And if Restore is their future home, please prompt their hearts and just help them to take a courageous next step in this opportunity.
I pray that they are given peace in their decision and faith to move forward and confidence in your timing, Lord. Today, I just pray that you continue to use Heather and Roger through their [00:40:00] faithfulness and the opportunity that you are orchestrating through them. Thank you for allowing me to be a part and for the influence Heather has had on my faith journey.
Lord, please continue to work in and through each of us. We love you and we praise you and we give you all the glory. Amen. Gosh,
I love you so much, Brianne. I cannot wait to hug your neck in a couple of weeks and I'm just so thankful for you. And I know everybody listening is as well.
