162 | Restore Collective Update: Biggest Prayers + Praises

So this week's episode is going to be an update and an overview of where all the things stand for Restore Collective, and specifically I'm going to be sharing the praises over the last Few months and the prayers for the next season as we prepare to launch this thing and put the company and the products and all of the goodness out into the world here in the next coming season.
So buckle up for this week's episode where I'll be sharing all the scoop on all the things. Yay.

MacBook Pro Microphone-1: Okay, so if you've been following me for very long, you know that I love me some alliteration, acronyms, and most of all, simplicity. And one of the key tying elements from the very beginnings of this company, and you can go back and follow along since like last summer if you want to kind of see how this thing has grown, has centered around Our three Ps and our five S's.
So today we're going to be kind of building on those and sharing a few key updates and adding on to additional [00:02:00] Ps that have kind of come into play. So our three Ps, and what I mean by that is people. product and profit. And essentially those are the three things that we're doing. We are finding and equipping and empowering really amazing people to help us in the development and creation of incredible products that are going to help simplify the lives of our active families for the better.
And then through that, it's how we hope to. have a profitable business for ourselves so that we can give back. But even more importantly, my passion is helping you create a profitable business through the people and the products. And so those are our three P's. And the two that I want to kind of add into the mix are praises and prayers.
And so obviously those are huge facets. In addition to the kind of buckets of what we're building here, because if we don't take the time to really focus and gratitude on the goodness that's around us and kind of look back even over the past month or even months [00:03:00] as all of the things that the Lord has done for us and, you know, just really being grateful for the goodness that's around us, it can be really easy to be consumed with the trials and hard things that are inevetiby going to come So, that's the praises.
The prayer side is specifically addressing those hard things that we might be going through and bringing those requests and prayers and petitions and bringing the darkness into the light. to the Lord And so this week's episode is going to be about those prayers and praises along with giving you guys some key updates.
So, and if in case, cause I did mention them, the five S's, we won't talk as much about them today, but I do want to reiterate them because if you're wondering what differentiates our company and kind of sets our products and our comp plan and all the things, the people, the product, the profit, all of it is everything that we create is safe, simple, smart, sustainable, and seasonal.
So again, lots of alliteration, lots of letters, but we're going to focus on the Ps [00:04:00] today. And specifically, we'll dive into the prayers. Or the praises first, and then we will go into the prayers, and I'll specifically break it down within those people, profit, and product, and give you some key scriptures as well that hopefully can help you like they've helped me in terms of just navigating this season of both excitement and the unknown, and the uncertainty, and all of the things.
Let's start with the praises. And there's some big things you guys that I'm going to be rolling out today. And I'm really, really excited to share some huge announcements with you and some things that I've kind of been hinting at along the way. So the first thing we're going to praise about are the people and specifically we have heard you loud and clear that you want to try the product, that you guys that are a part of the focus groups, and if you're not, you need to make sure to click the link to fill out the focus group survey in the description or the show notes, wherever you're listening or watching.
But if you're a part of the focus group, we know that you want to see the product. You want to meet your potential founding [00:05:00] partner mentors. You might even want to meet me if that's, if that's even possible. And so what we wanted to do is put together something called restore road trips to where we can bring just small, intimate gatherings of those who want to learn more about the product and The you know, profit and all the things with the business.
And so we are rolling out these restore road trips. And if you want more specific information about the cities that we're going to, and if you can maybe join us to try the things, make sure that you are connected with one of our founding partner mentors, because that's where you're going to get that information.
And this is something that we want to be exclusive to those that are in the focus group, which just means you're helping us in the creation aspects. You're one of our people, right? You're one of our most important piece. But if that's you, get excited. We have started sharing these dates and this is something that we will be doing until we roll this company out.
~Um,~ and hopefully beyond because the power of in person connections and [00:06:00] really showcasing both the product side in a simple and fun way, but also just connecting with other people who are just as excited about it as you. Honestly, that's the most beautiful thing about this business. And so the first praise is we will be coming and headed your way with some.
Lots of, well, all of the goodies that we have in person for our Restore road trips. So, if you want more details, make sure to fill out the focus group survey to get plugged in and connected with one of our founding partner mentors so that you can come see us and come meet me and come try all the things.
So that's the first praise is Restore road trips. specifically related to people. The second praise is product related and I'm so excited that everything is in production and rolling along with varying levels of smoothness and kind of craziness and chaos but it's all coming together even better than I could have imagined and it's just kind of wild to see it coming together.
So the exciting announcement and the praise [00:07:00] that I want to report here is we will be bringing all of the products to market to the public in 2020. Q two of this year. So, you know, if you've been following along, we had hoped to make that happen in Q one. Hopefully you caught my update earlier this year to say that just because of the some of the unforeseen circumstances and also a little bit of my optimism that sometimes is to a fault.
It took a little bit longer in the development side of things, which then pushed back the production of things. And so, you know, while we don't necessarily feel confident throwing out a date, we do feel confident in Q2 being when you can get your hands on these products or enroll as a business. And if you want more specifics on the date, some ~of the~ more of the details, make sure that you're in the focus group and connected to one of the founding partner mentors so that you can know all the details.
Because it will probably be another month or so before I do another one of these updates with more specific information publicly here on the podcast or on ~the~ YouTube. So that's the second exciting praise is we will be doing this thing very soon. It'll be here before we know [00:08:00] it. It's like blown by already and I am so excited.
So the third praise is going to be specific to profit. This is another one where we heard from our focus group loud and clear when we announced that we weren't going to be doing our in person first conference this summer that you were like, No, we were excited to get together. We were excited to be able to launch this company and be able to learn and grow together.
And so we have a huge exciting announcement. We are going to be doing not a homecoming, not like a big full blown conference, but what we're calling a launch and learning event that we're titling Welcome Home. And it's gonna take place this July the 24th through the 27th at the same place we've already kind of talked about, which is the Signia Orlando Hilton Bonnet Creek in Orlando, Florida.
And so this is going to be for you if you are A wanting to, you [00:09:00] know, you're like, I want to do this. I want to build a business with restore, but I really want to know how to do it. And I really want to be equipped with the foundational knowledge around the people, the product and the profit and how to actually create a business.
What's really exciting is we will be having a day and a half burst of training sessions specifically around these, ~these, uh,~ three pillars. But even better you can bring not only your spouse if you're married You can bring your partner your literal life partner to attend not all of the sessions because honestly They probably aren't gonna want to learn about applying makeup and skincare You can fill them in on that stuff later But some of the sessions will be specifically geared towards helping you as a family family, learn more foundationally about how you can grow and build your business here with Restore and how you can even grow together when you do start making money and you want to be able to put those things into best practices and leverage your profit for good.
You and your spouse and, here's the exciting part, your kids are also welcome. So I know if [00:10:00] you were wanting to come to Orlando. And your kids were like, hey, wait a minute, you're going to go to Orlando without me? Rest assured, you do not have to do that. You can leave them at home with grandma or, you know, whoever.
But I recommend that you bring them and invite them on this journey with you because this hotel is super family friendly. Two gorgeous, amazing hotels. Super close proximity to all the parks. You can even see from certain parts of the hotel. You can see the fireworks at Epcot. It's going to be amazing.
And we will have child care. Which is so exciting during our sessions as well. And all of our events that we have planned, including a family style dinner and a fun pool party, all of those things are going to be family friendly to where you can enjoy this, you can celebrate with us. So if you want to help us kick this thing off in any way, we would love to have you.
If you know you want to build and grow a business, you've got to be there. This is going to be the way that you can connect with other people. You can definitely meet me. You can meet Roger. You can meet all of the founding partner mentors and you can help [00:11:00] us learn and grow and launch this thing together.
So join us at Welcome Home. in July, the 24th through the 27th at the Cigna Orlando Hilton Bonnet Creek, and we are so excited. So again, make sure that you have filled out the focus group survey, because that's where you will get the first links to the hotel rooms before they sell out. We do have a limited number of hotel rooms ~for, um,~ for this conference.
And so that would be be what I would do first. We also will have our link to be able to purchase your actual conference tickets, but we're still kind of finalizing the pricing of that right now, and the focus group will be the first one to know. But I would definitely go ahead and knock out your hotel as that is the most important thing if you want to go.
Plus, we may have something up our sleeve for those of you guys who are going to be participating in our pre launch soft launch that will happen soon. If you're in the focus group that you guys will be able to get something kind of special that we're working on. So long story short, for the 50th time today, make sure that you have filled out that focus group survey connected with a founding partner [00:12:00] mentor and are in the loop so that you can have the scoop to join us.
But go ahead and Put that date back on your calendar, friend, and you better be there with us to celebrate this thing. And we are so excited. So those are our three praises centered around the people, the product and the profit. So let's shift into the prayers specifically. So this is something that I want to be able to kind of update you on things, but also just kind of share what's been on my heart.
Because I actually just had the most amazing experience to be able to go on a five day cruise called the Rock Boat. And if you don't know this about me, I absolutely love live music and specifically rock music. I like all music except for country. Don't kill me. Although my, my daughter would argue with that because I love like southern rock.
Probably my favorite genre, and that can lean a little country, ~um,~ but, and R& B is my other one that it's just not necessarily my favorite, but rock and Christian rock in particular, or Christian Southern rock even better. Hello, where are my Need to Breathe fans out there? That is my favorite, and this Rock Boat Cruise was [00:13:00] such a blessing to me because it allowed me to really kind of take a bit of a mental rest.
I did work a little bit, but I definitely got some good, good breaks, ~um,~ and some rest, which is always where my best inspiration comes from. Plus because I love music and watching so many of those musicians and the artists that were on the boat really do what they were created to do, it was so inspiring to me.
And even if, and certainly not all of the lyrics, cause this was not a Christian boat. So there were not all the lyrics or not all the bands were necessarily, ~um, you know,~ the most, ~uh,~ how do I say this? Like biblically sound messages. I still got so much inspiration. from connecting some of the lyrics of what they were saying into the word and some of the ways that, ~um,~ the Lord has kind of spoken into my life.
And so I kind of wanted to share that with you guys that what I wanted to talk to you about specifically with prayers has kind of come through that glorious season of taking a rest and seeking inspiration from You know, even some secular things like [00:14:00] music, and if you're not doing that yourself, I highly recommend it.
Obviously, stay grounded and focused in the word, but you know, if you look around you, whether it's in nature or whether it's in art or whether it's just in looking to those who are truly living out their God given gifts, skill sets, and passions, it can be so inspiring to you to pursue your journey, even if that looks different for you, right?
Like, I'm clearly not a rocker. That was not my calling in life, though. Sometimes I wish that I could sing and play the drums and do all those things. But I can certainly be inspired by those who've been given that musicality gift. And so that's one of the things I kind of wanted to segue into the prayer specifically.
So, let's throw out our first prayer specifically around the people. And so, one of the themes from a lot of the lyrics that, that I kind of heard was around the fire, ~um,~ aspect of just the things that we go through in life. And obviously with the devastating wildfires out in [00:15:00] Los Angeles and even some of the, the artists that were on the boat.
We're based in L. A. And so it was just wild how many of the songs in the lyrics talked about fire. And so that really kind of drove me deeper into scripture to think about things like the refiner's fire that's talked about in Malachi or the fire with, ~um, you know, uh, the~ Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, and Daniel, you know, being in the fire, ~um,~ and Jesus being with them.
in the fire and through the fire and protecting them from the fire. And sometimes, I don't know about you, but sometimes it can feel like the world is literally on fire. And. The kind of peace that kind of came from that in in thinking about that and even kind of listening to some of this music is That in this world We are not promised that things are going to be easy and that the fire that we're that we're going through Number one the Lord is with us number two It's refining us into who we were made to be which reminds me of my favorite book of scripture Which is James and [00:16:00] that's James 1 Two and three, which says, count it all joy.
There's my word of the year. My sisters, when you meet trials of various kinds for, you know, that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And so if you're going through something and sometimes friends, it seems like those of us, I know whether it's our founding partner mentors or whether you know that you're just, you are pursuing the path that the Lord has.
or something in life. Like maybe trying to start a family or battling a health issue. Like, you know, that you're pursuing the path that the Lord has for you, but you might be wondering like, why does it feel so hard? Whether that's your own, like getting in your own head or in your own way, like constantly overthinking.
I know that I struggle with that a lot, or whether it's like looking outside yourself and the comparison aspect of looking at like, well, she's clearly finding joy on her path. And you know, I'm over here You know, trying to seek after the Lord's will, but yet I'm really struggling and where I am. [00:17:00] Or, if it's a straight up, and this, if you're not a believer, you might be like, freaked out by this, but, or if it's a battle that, that is from, not from the Lord, but from the spiritual forces, from the enemy here on this earth, because we are told in scripture that this is not a battle of physical, it's a battle in the spiritual realm, and sometimes the enemy can.
You know, use, and unfortunately the Lord does allow that, that refiners fire from, and the, the testing and the trials that we have to go through that might be sickness, right? Whether yourself or someone in your family, or it might be familial issues or relational struggles or friendship struggles, or maybe it's like even something as simple as like a tech setback.
~Um,~ or, you know, something that's like frustrating where technology is stepping in the way a lot of these things are. an enemy that is a spiritual force that is outside of us that is trying to hinder you from the goodness that's in front of you. And so whether it's again yourself and getting in your own head, whether it's looking outside [00:18:00] of yourself and trying to compare your path to someone else's, or whether it's truly just that spiritual resistance, like I said, sometimes it can feel like we are in the fire.
And~ I, ~my biggest prayer is that you can number one, keep your eyes fixed on the Lord because he is with you and he will get you through this. And number two, that he will refine you through that fire and it will shape you into a steadfast, you know, beautiful, even more beautiful version of yourself that hopefully looks more like him if you're seeking after him and running after him.
And so that's my biggest prayer is that the people that are partnering with us can just look to the Lord as they maybe go through the fire and the hard things that will come, because we are not promised that all things are going to be good as a believer or in the good things that we are pursuing, seeking after him.
And so I just pray that the protection of the Lord is over you and your family and over all of us as the people who embark on this journey face the fires all around us. And of course we pray for our friends [00:19:00] in LA as they navigate the literal fires and all of the craziness that, that seems to be surrounding us in this world right now.
So that's my first prayer is for the people. The second prayer is around the product. So I have to pray this myself every day, and that is specifically the patience and the grace when things don't turn out how we expected them. So grace for us, grace for, for example, the formulators and the patience to know that But thankfully, the Lord is sovereign over all of it.
When I look back, this is where like kind of the praises come in, when I look back on the creation and the product creation of everything that we've done, I'm like, I don't even know how all of this has come together outside of the Lord's grace and mercy and goodness. But it can, sometimes I can lose site of that when an issue arises or when a delay happens or when I can't get an answer for when something's going to be in or, or, you know, that, that timeline that I, of course, I had like 50 spreadsheets, ~um,~ to, you know, and confirmations and emails and all of the things that, [00:20:00] you know, the expectations we set on ourselves and on others, when those don't come to pass, it can be really frustrating.
And so my biggest prayer around the product is just Patience and grace. And the verse and scripture that came to mind for this is Romans 12:12 ~which says,~ which says, be joyful. There's my word again in hope, patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. And so that's kind of my, my biggest thing is like just staying hopeful, staying patient and staying prayerful each and every day and every moment of the day as these things come together.
And I invite you to do that with me as well to know that there likely will, especially not just here~ in the,~ in the soft launch pre launch and launch phase of this business, but that. And, you know, as we go, we're all going to need to exercise some patience to know that God is in charge of the timing, that he is, you know, doing everything the way that it's [00:21:00] meant to come together, even if that's not what we initially envisioned, especially when we hold too tightly towards an expectation that either that we've set on ourselves or on others.
Look to the Lord. Again, don't put your hope and your faith in me. Put your hope and faith in Him that He has made it abundantly clear that He is in this and all of the goodness and all of the things that are here and shipping and happening, it's like, it's all from Him and it's just crazy amazing and so exciting.
But let's all be patient and acknowledge the grace all around us. So, that's my biggest prayer for the product. And then finally, ~the,~ my biggest prayer for the profit. And this is something that I know is going to come into play, and so it's kind of one of those important things that I just want to manage expectations, ~um,~ so that you aren't disappointed.
To know that God has a plan for each person. Whether or not they join Restore, or whether they join as an advocate, or whether they join as a partner, or whether they remain a customer, or whether they are doing something [00:22:00] completely different, God has a plan for each person, and if we try to reach in and control, you know, for example, like, oh, I knew this person, you know, first, or I'm the first person to talk to them about Restore, or, you know, if we try to control other people and take ownership over, you know, who they may or may not enroll with, ~Yeah.~
~It's,~ you're going to be destined for disappointment. And so we've got to go back to the first P, which is people and value people over profit and have that abundance mindset to know that the right people will join you in this business. And I'm sure that if you are seeking after him and you've been a part of this journey, and I know that pretty much every one of our founding partner mentors has experienced this, where all of these good things, every bit of the profit, all of the people.
And like I said, all the products, they're all gifts from God for you. And so if you know he is your provider and he is the source of all of these things, my biggest prayer is not to try to control certainly other people's decisions [00:23:00] or your expectations around who will or won't join you enroll and just know that it will come together the way that it's meant to in his timing and in his plans.
I could not be more excited about that and more prayerful about that as well. And so the verse in scripture that came to mind for me for this was Matthew 16:26 and that's, for what will it profit ~if a man,~ for a man, if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? And so none of us, especially those of us as believers, like we, we don't want to lose our soul, right?
Like we want to, we want to hang on to that above all, because that's where the fulfillment comes from. That's, you know, the gift of who we were made to be. And yes, profit is important and something that if you were starting any business. You want to be a facet so that you can give back and provide for your family and, you know, generosity and do all the things.
But if you're doing that in a way that you're trying to manipulate or control others or you're doing it in a way that is making [00:24:00] it more about yourself, or if you're not doing it in a way that's focused on loving and serving other people and helping figure out what they want and empowering them to do that, even if that means joining someone else or not joining or joining another company or whatever that looks like for them.
You've got to realize that you don't want to put profit as your number one goal. You want to put people and loving and serving them well. And letting them do whatever it is that they want to do and having that abundance mindset. And then what's really kind of cool is when you get that right and when you can trust in the Lord as the provider and the source of all of the people and all of the profit, then you can have that peace and you can have that stillness in, and the joy that can be found in your soul, which is what we are all seeking for.
And so that's my biggest prayer around the prophet is that people can. Realize that if you want to be successful in this business or in any business, you have got to put the people first [00:25:00] and you've got to have that abundance mindset to realize that there is a plan for each one of us. And that might not look like network marketing.
It might not look like restore. It might not look like. being a partner. It might not look like building a team. It might not look like selling a ton of the product. It might be that they don't even like the product. And that's okay. That is okay. If we try to be all things to all people, that is not going to serve anybody really well.
And so just have, again, have patience and put people first, love them and serve them well, and the profits can come. And that is my biggest prayer around that. So my friends, I hope that this episode has kind of been helpful at giving you some exciting updates, but also inviting you on the journey and specifically praying for the different facets of this business as we gear up for what we know the Lord has called us to, which is putting this company and this mission, vision and values out into the world in a big way.
And we're just so grateful to have you on this journey with us, [00:26:00] whatever that looks like. And so I'm going to wrap this up in prayer and I hope you all have a beautiful week. Lord, we are just so thankful for number one, the people who you have put in our path, the ones that are listening to this podcast, the ones that are in the focus group, the ones that are just faithfully praying for us as we navigate this new journey and trying to figure this out.
We're just, we're so grateful and we're really excited. Praising you for allowing us to be able to get together, um, Lord willing for these restore road trips, but also for our welcome Home Launch and learning event in Orlando. You've made it clear that you want us to be there together to kick this thing off, and so just help open up people's schedules and, and hearts and budgets to be able to make that happen, to be able to be there with their families.
Um, if they want to help us kick this thing off and, uh, just thank you for the ways that you have shown us that you're in the product development side of things and just, just help us to, uh, to keep our eyes fixed on you in that. And [00:27:00] prayerfully, Lord, we ask that you just be with us in the fire and that you refine us through the fires that each of us are going through and all of us.
Even if it might not show on social media or on when you see our smiling faces at church or, you know, even, even my smiling face right now, like it's hard to kind of see the hard things that each of us are going through. And it's very easy to see the fires that are literally happening all around in our world right now.
And so, Lord, we just, we, we just ask you to help us keep our eyes fixed on you and to lean on you, knowing that you're in the fire, that you're finding us through it. And that, um, these trials and the things that we are going through, that we should count them as joy because they are going to make us grow steadfast and faithful and more like you ultimately.
And Lord, when it comes to the product side of things, Lord, we know you're in charge of this timing and we are trying our best to be patient and trust you that you have a plan even if it doesn't align with our expectations or [00:28:00] our timeline. And we just, we just know that you've got a plan for all of this.
So it's. better than anything we can imagine. And so just help us to be able to trust you in that and to be patient and to have grace with each other and ourselves and with our vendors and all of the things as we make this thing happen together. And then lastly, Lord, even though profitability is something that we know you even talk about a lot in your word as an important facet of business, that it means nothing if we forfeit or lose our soul.
And the way that we can really. And I think it's important that we put people first is the way that we can be the most successful in our business, not just in terms of the profit, but in terms of the fulfillment that we're all seeking within our soul. And so, Lord, we just lift these prayers up and these praises of gratitude to you.
And we just invite you to continue to lead us on this journey together and to be just thankful for those now and in the future that will be joining us in this mission together.
