144 | Restore Collective Core Value: Freedom
===
[00:00:00] Hey friends. Welcome back to the call to lead podcast. I am so excited to keep sharing the 12 core values of our brand new company restore collective with you and today's episode. So if this is the first episode you've listened to in a minute, you've got a lot of catching up to do. So definitely go back and listen to the episodes where. First of all, Roger, my husband and I announced that we are starting our brand new network marketing company. But also we are not quite halfway through rolling out each of the 12 core values, which explain not only the why behind the reason we're starting this company. But also, we're kind of giving you a little inside sneak peek of what's to come when we launch in the first quarter of 2025.
So this week's episode is all about freedom. And it's been really cool to watch the way the Lord has worked at the timing of sharing this with you. As always his timing is perfect. And this episode is all [00:01:00] about the next core value, which is freedom. So let's dive into this week's episode.
[00:02:00]
~ ~So, if you have been following our journey of rolling out each of our 12 core values, you know, that we have selected a verse from the Bible. That aligns with exactly what we're talking about or the big picture overview of why we chose this word. So I'm going to share that first, but also after that, I will share the three reasons why we feel that the word freedom. And the values that it represents is in perfect alignment with what we are trying to do here at restore. So the verse for freedom is Galatians 5:13 which is crazy.
We've talked about this before. It was literally what I read yesterday. My Bible recap reading plan. And so anytime this happens to line up perfectly with maybe what I'm reading in the word and what I'm sharing with you, or maybe a conversation with a friend, it's those little details that help me to know without a shadow of a doubt that the Lord is in this with me.
And that's how you can kind of know, especially if you [00:03:00] are like, I always say spending time in the word with him and in others who are doing the same. If you're a believer, it can give you that peace and clarity to know. That you are walking in freedom, but also in alignment with him. And so the verse from today, I think is a beautiful example of the gospel.
Even if you aren't a believer, this is what the love of Christ is all about, which is for you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh. But through love, serve one another. So ultimately, like if you have read through the Bible, if you're a believer or not a believer, truly the Bible itself is a story of the love of God. And his deep love for us to send his one and only son to be our savior for one purpose.
Well, two purposes. It's freedom. And to love others and to serve one another through the [00:04:00] example that he set. And so I love this first and the fact that, you know, essentially Christ came to be the freedom from the law that so many people associate with the rules that come along with religion. I think a lot of times when people are. ~Uh, ~you know, kind of have issues with something like Christianity or really any religion it's because of the perceived rules or restrictions that prevent you from having freedom. But ultimately, as long as you are doing two things, loving God. And loving others. And then putting your faith in the gospel that the Lord came and sent his son for that freedom. There's freedom in Christ, my friends and we were called for that freedom.
So above all, as we dive into these three reasons today, I wanted to start there and the power that is first of all, found in the freedom of Christ. And again, [00:05:00] this isn't meant to say that you have to believe this, but it's something that if you don't, you can and should look into it because it is one of the biggest blessings. ~Um, ~while we're here on this planet. Let's dive into the three reasons and dig this and unpack this a little bit deeper. So when it comes to freedom and this might be a little bit of an unpopular opinion, and it's something that might surprise you because it's not so much counter to what I may have said on the podcast, but it's more in my experience of having been through. ~Uh, ~being with a company and then seeing the shift in direction of that company.
And then what that does for the differing decisions and directions that people I know and love have chosen and will continue to choose as their next steps in the future. It has given me a different perspective on the grace and the freedom that I see in others making the own choices. That [00:06:00] are best for themselves best for their families.
And most importantly, what the Lord has in store for them, even if that's something different than what he has in store for me. Or for you? And so that is the first reason we chose freedom is my friends. I believe that we should all have the freedom. To choose whatever business path, whatever products. Whatever application of said products, whatever upline, whatever company we should, each of us have the freedom to be able to choose the best path for us. And I think so often in network marketing where, ~um,~ this can go astray and create division and frustration and broken relationships and confusion as when we try to lean into the controlling aspect of telling others what they should or shouldn't do when ultimately I believe we're all just trying to do the best that we can. [00:07:00] And whether someone is a believer in trying to chase after the Lord's will for their life or whether they're trying to do it all on their own, which I have been their friends as an entrepreneur.
I have been there trying to build a business in my own strength, but here's what I know having been on both sides of that, where I've tried to do it on my own, where I've kind of forced my way to get some end result. Or when I have leaned into the Lord's calling and purpose and direction and guidance for my path, which is exactly what I'm doing right now, walking alongside my husband and some other amazing people.
But in both of those scenarios, I know that the Lord can and has an always will. Work these things together for the good of those who love him and are called according to his purpose. And so hear me when I say that again, this may be an unpopular opinion. But I want you, if you're listening to have full freedom, to both be a fly on the wall, to watch our journey here with restore [00:08:00] and to kind of dive into all of the exciting goodness that we have with the products, with the makeup and the skincare that we will launch with in Q1 and all of the other products that we have. ~Um, ~to learn more about our compensation plan and the way that we're structuring this business, but I want you and all of us to be able to have the freedom, to be able to choose our own paths, whether or not that's as a customer of restore, whether that's as an advocate for restore, which is where I'm going to let you guys know that's as an exciting update. ~Uh, ~we will have really three paths for someone who actually does want to be a part of this.
They can of course be a customer. And they can be an advocate, which is essentially an affiliate. Where it's, there's no team building,~ uh, ~associated with this. You don't earn money on. ~Uh, ~building a team, you do earn money on,~ uh, ~Referring the products, whether that's in a group setting, like having an online. At work in person. What we're going to call a beauty lab experience, [00:09:00] where you can share the awesome products that we will have. And so for a lot of people, for example, who maybe just want to share it with a few friends and family in that setting, but they don't want to take the full on next step in diving into direct sales or into the responsibility, which is ultimately what it is of leading and mentoring a team.
Our advocate program is going to be perfectly suited for that for three sets of people. So one is going to be for those who want to take baby steps into direct sales, maybe they've had a bad experience in another company. And they're kind of like, I don't know if I want to go down the leadership path again, and they want to more just focus on getting paid to share the products or number two, again, that they are looking to be a hostess of sorts or someone that can earn not only free products, but also earn commissions from sharing it with whether it's a small group, large group.
However, however you want to do it online in person. The hostess aspect is going to be wrapped in our awesome affiliate [00:10:00] advocate program. Or finally the, and I know I have a lot of listeners in this category as well. The ones that are more your social sellers, that maybe you are working with multiple companies.
And honestly, I know that I have fought against this in the years of having this podcast of people doing multiple companies or being a rapper and affiliate with most at multiple companies. But I do think that times are shifting and changing. And if you are a content creator and you love or influencer is kind of what, I've, what, I've, what I've talked about here.
~Um,~ in the past, on this podcast before, if that is you and you love sharing links to all the things that you love, but maybe that's on YouTube, maybe that is on Instagram or Tik TOK or wherever, and you are more of an online influencer or social seller. The advocate program that we'll have at restore is going to be the perfect choice for you.
Because again, you're not having to feel torn by leading your team because naturally if you've got a big following, you will have people that enroll with you. And while you certainly could go, [00:11:00] the third route that we'll talk about, which is the partner path. I would encourage you if you are a social seller, an online influencer. To really kind of think about, do you have enough of the capacity to really go all in, on what is required to build a business in side, that partner program?
And so we have designed this advocate aspect of the business to give people the freedom, if they want to be able to just share the product and to be able to share the value of what we're offering and to get behind. These values without having to dive all into truly my favorite aspect, which is the last step, which is the partner program at restore. And so the partner program is going to be your more traditional, direct sales path, where even though the first several ranks, you can rank without having to have a team, you can do it through your own sales.
We envision this being people who are more legacy leadership minded, who want to make an income by helping other people [00:12:00] build up a business of their own. And so for me, that's the biggest blessing in this, and I love that aspect of the business and it gets a bad rap, especially in. These changing times. Because of going back to the word freedom. Us not allowing the people to have the freedom to choose which path is right for them.
And so for us, when we developed our compensation plan, it was based in freedom. We wanted people to be able to. You know, whether that's with restore or another company, they can choose to be a customer or not be a customer. They can choose to be an advocate. And take baby steps. If they choose into the direct sales program or to be able to go all in on building a legacy minded business through the partner side. And so I'm here to tell you. That you and anyone. ~Uh, ~that joins, restore, including our founding partner mentors that we announced last week, live on this podcast.
I want you to know that Roger and [00:13:00] our heart is to empower them, to have the freedom, to do whatever they feel is best from their business. And so what that looks like is you may see that even some of them in the interim, given that we won't even have an income opportunity of any sort until Q1 of next year, you may see some of them, even our founding partner, mentors sharing, or promoting additional products, or, you know, still marketing, maybe the companies that they've already been a part of.
And I know that that might be a little bit confusing to you because you know, as much as we. I believe that if you want to do big things at restore, you've got to go all in. In the interim, the best thing for some of these leaders and some of these mentors and possibly for you. Is to leverage the experience and the benefits of this business model, whether it's as an affiliate for multiple companies, whether it's going, you know, more the direct sales side with. Another company or whether it's waiting for restore. We believe as [00:14:00] founders that you and that the people that we love and care about should have the freedom to make the choices that are best for themselves and best for them, their families. Now I want to say this. Because I will not stray that if you want to build an amazing legacy minded business in the direct sells the traditional direct sell space, which is not trying to build a big following online.
It's not going to social selling, which I still believe. There's a difference between social selling and network marketing. If you want to build a solid network marketing based business that is built on helping a lot of people have success in this weather, then just a few people have big success. We want a lot of people, our vision for that is to help a lot. People fill that income gap that is needed so much right now in the lives of our active families that we're trying to serve. And so, you know, I still believe that it's going to be really, really difficult for anyone founding partner mentor or not to try to go all in at multiple opportunities.
[00:15:00] And so if ~you know, and~ you know, you've been called to another company. Even if you're a leader at another company, friend, I don't want you to be distracted by restores awesome partner program. If you wanted to enroll as an affiliate or just be a customer that could, it's why we're doing it is to be able to give you the freedom to be able to share without having to have that kind of shiny object distracted. As you know, Comparison ~based, um,~ FOMO. Situation. Of feeling like you have to be all in it more than one place, because it's going to be really, really challenging for you to build more than one team. Which conferences do you go to?
Which, you know, leadership, accountability groups do you host, where do you have, you know, maybe your mentor at another company has put people on Voxer. Maybe, you know, we use telegram for restore and that's what I've used in my previous company. Your time is going to be spread really thin. If you're trying to go all in on the legacy leader partner [00:16:00] path, as we call it at restore with multiple direct sales or network marketing companies.
So the cool thing ~is, ~is I am no, no longer. I'm very much convicted of trying to tell someone what they should or shouldn't do. So this isn't me saying, like you shouldn't do it, but what I am saying and what I won't kind of sacrifice is this belief that it will be challenging for you. If you try to grow. Grow more than one solid business. Based in the neck marketing or direct sales space. And so that's one of the reasons why we wanted to have the freedom to choose the advocate side, where the restore. And it's also our hope, you know, as ~you know, ~when we've talked about our mission, vision and values, Our vision is to uplift to the entire industry.
And we believe that calling and separating those two paths on the income generation side, whether that's the advocate, social selling baby step path, just focus on the affiliate side of sharing the product or the partner path. We want to give you [00:17:00] the freedom to choose, which is best for you. And in that we can all win. So that is wrapped up in the freedom mindset.
And I want you to know that. I love you and support you. Number one, whether or not you do anything with restore number two, whatever path it turns out that it's right for you. Roger. And I honor that and it's our goal to create something so amazing and so special here that those who are legacy minded and are focused on building. A direct sells leadership based business that you're going to want to go all in with us that you're not going to want to be distracted by another shiny object, or you're not going to want to try to divide your time into multiple companies, but know that even if you do, we still love you.
And I think that again, that's the one thing that I've learned in this is that the divisiveness that even, I know I've been a part of before, in terms of trying to tell people what they should or shouldn't do. I know that that creates confusion and division [00:18:00] and just kind of messy situations within relationships.
And I don't believe that that is what the Lord would want. And so. That is why the first reason we chose the word freedom is because we want you to have the freedom to choose what is best for you best for your family, best for your season of life and season of business. And so the second reason is more tied to the products.
And that is because all of the products that we produce starting with makeup and skincare in Q1 are going to be produced. Anything that goes on your face on your body is going to be produced here in the United States. And so while we will launch in the U S and Canada with sales to start, everything is manufactured with some of the most amazing formulators here in. In the U S but here's the cool part, is it exceeds the very strict EU standards because unfortunately the us has not quite caught up to the [00:19:00] level of safety and clean beauty standards that we feel are what we feel confident, recommending to our active families.
However, the gold standard, it comes out of Europe. And so we will be making these products domestically. But we will have them exceed the EU standards. So this might not go for every aspect, you know, from like the, some of the aspects that things are housed in, or some of the packaging it's really difficult. You know, when we can, we will obviously support US-based companies, but anything that you're going to feel comfortable putting on your body in your body when we get there, which isn't going to be to start will be. Freedom-based USA, baby.
Let's do this. So that is the second reason that we chose freedom is because we love our country and we believe that. Supporting US-based businesses as much as we can. And the safe aspects of being able to do so from working with formulators who are right here on [00:20:00] us, soil is tremendously important, but yet we want to raise that level of the quality and the safety. Of the products that we do by meeting well, exceeding those EU standards.
And the cool thing is, is again, our formulators, our domestic formulators are experts in that. And so we could not be more excited for the products that will align with our freedom value of business. So that's the number two reason is that our products are going to be made here in the U S yay. I think that's awesome. So then lastly, the reason that we chose the word freedom. It's because we have so many families, whether it is multiple of our founding partner mentors or tons of my friends and family in the town, I'm actually recording this from Charleston, South Carolina or Kiawah island at my mom's, but. ~Uh, ~my husband, Roger and I live outside Savannah, Georgia, and we have not one but two military bases.
And so we chose the word freedom because we know [00:21:00] that. Our active military. Our first responders, they are a vital aspect of our country and the freedom that we have and have had for hundreds of years, thankfully in this country. And we want to be able to create something that is really special and that honors you.
And so the cool thing, again, several of our founding partner mentors are military families. And so whether you are again, Roger and I are not bet. A lot of our friends, our family neighbors are, we want to build this with. With you in mind. And what's really great about the direct sales and network marketing side of the business is a lot of military families have to move around the world.
And while that can be challenging for the active families, which again is our perfect. You know, that's exactly who we're called to serve our active families and simplifying their lives. It does allow you to build relationships in each of these areas that you go. And if you're a believer, it allows you to be a [00:22:00] light in all of these places.
And so we want you to know that at restore, we honor our. At our veterans, my, both of my grandfathers were veterans. I have. ~Uh,~ cousins who have been active military, and we honor you, we support you and you absolutely are one of the facets of the active family side of our mission statement and who we feel called to serve. And so going back to that, Galatians five, 13, verse four, you recall to freedom brothers and sisters. I only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love, serve one another.
And that's exactly what our military represents is the ultimate sacrifice in serving their lives. And whether that's the actual man or woman that is serving the military or their families who have to serve. In the way of your raising the children. Keeping things going back home. We want you to know that we value you, we [00:23:00] honor you.
And we want that to be an important facet of what we do here at restore. And so my friends, I hope that that gives you a little bit of a glimpse into why we chose the word freedom. And why it is so special and why. Again, no matter what you decide to do in business, whether that's to be a part of our focus group, which you can check out the link in the show notes or the description of this, if you're watching on YouTube, To just be a fly on the wall.
You don't even have to be a part of restore in any way, shape or form, but I'm honored to have you listening and following along on our journey. And I want you to know that we. Believe that what we were creating here will hopefully inspire you to go all in with restore. But we want you to have the freedom to join with whoever you want to join with. If you want to join here, join whatever company you want to join with.
Same thing with customers like purchase from whoever you want to join with. We don't believe in the hierarchial structure of previous. [00:24:00] Existing, you know, Like downline relationships. That's not something that we will, ~um,~ you know, I mean, while it can be ideal, if that's who you want to enroll with, that that's who you want to purchase from. It's not something that you have to do.
We want to empower you to have the freedom. To choose what is best for you, what is best for your family and moving forward. So I hope that that gives you a glimpse into this. I'm going to say a prayer for us as we close out this week's episode. Lord. Thank you so much for the listeners that have made it through yet.
Another value as we put together, this beautiful company that is, we know it has been from your inspiration. And the freedom that we have to be able to build something like this in this country is a gift from you that we do not take for granted. And so Lord. Empower those that are listening, whether or not they are choosing to be a customer or an advocate or a partner or a founding partner mentor with restore. That they [00:25:00] know that our heart for them mimics your heart, which is that we're called to freedom. As long as the freedom that we're choosing, isn't doing what's best for our flesh, but doing best to serve out of love for one another. And that is the beautiful example in Christ.
Your son. And we are so thankful above all that, he gives us the freedom in you, even when we fall out of alignment with the ideal ways that you would have us live, that there is grace from you. And so just allow us to give grace to others, knowing that even if the decisions and the divisions that are created from those decisions. Are out of alignment with what we are choosing that's best for our family to just help us see the lens of that through the eyes that you have, which is grace and mercy and forgiveness, and the beautiful result that you promise us in Romans 8 28, is that you will work all things together for the good of those who love you. And are called according to your purpose.
And [00:26:00] so we know most of the listeners that are here are aligned with you in that calling. And so just give them the comfort, the peace and the freedom to know that you've got them and that whatever choices that they make, you will work it together for their good. And we are so thankful for that. We're also thankful for our active military and first responders and the many, many amazing men and women in this country that fight for that freedom and sacrifice so much each and every day.
And so just continue to guide us on how we can best serve them and develop systems that, that honor them. And that create an amazing opportunity. If they choose to build a business that can travel with them around the globe, as they align with our country and fighting for. Our freedom. And whatever that may look like in the months, years to come and just help them to know how much we appreciate them and that they are a special facet of the active families that we are serving through this. And then finally thank you [00:27:00] for the amazing formulators that are working on some really, really special products, ~uh, ~developed here in the U S exceeding those EU standards.
And thank you for the clarity and guidance to be able to provide safe and sustainable and simple products that serve the families. That will be a part of this. And so thank you again for everything that you continue to do, ~uh, ~and guide us all in Jesus name. Amen. All right, guys. Thanks again for listening.
And oh, today was a little bit longer of one, but lots of important things to talk about. So thanks for sticking with me and stay tuned for another value next week.
