141 | Restore Collective Core Value: Growth
===
[00:00:00] Hey friends. Welcome back to the Called to Lead podcast. So today's episode is going to be a continuation of rolling out the core values for mine and my husband Rogers brand new. Direct sales company restore collective. So if this is the first episode you're listening to, you might want to go catch up on all of the scoop and start. ~Uh, ~from the beginning of us sharing our mission, vision, and values, and then of course, breaking down each value further.
And so if you're like, what are you talking about? What is this new company that you're starting. Get excited because I'm going to be continuing to roll out all the details, little by little on each one of these episodes. So, in fact, in today's episode, I'm going to be dropping something really exciting.
That really makes restore collective unique when it comes to the direct sales side of things and why I really truly believe that what we're doing here can lift and help grow. The industry as a whole. And so today's core value that we're going to talk about [00:01:00] is growth. So let's get into it.
Okay. So [00:02:00] before we dive into the value itself, I am sure some of you guys are kind of like Heather, just come on, spill the beans already. Tell us all the details about what you're doing, what you're going to be selling. But I just want to reiterate that for one. The products that will be. We will be sharing, which I will give you a little inside scoop right now.
They are in the beauty and skincare space to start, but eventually will encompass all of the everyday essentials that active families use and love. So that's a little sneak peek. I'll get way more into the specifics as we go, as well as drop a really exciting update. ~Um,~ in this episode alone. So continue watching, make sure you're subscribed to the podcast.
And I promise I will be as transparent as possible with you guys as we roll out the details, but I really felt that more important than what we will be selling. It's why we're doing it and why we're starting this to begin with and the values that we are aligned with. [00:03:00] And help you since the other thing that I can say is we won't be rolling this out to the public until February. of 2025 or until the first quarter of 2025.
And so you've got a minute before you can even buy or sell or join us as a partner in Restore Collective and so, because I know you're antsy and excited. I'm going to be giving you little tidbits, but just know that~ it's, um, ~there's some really exciting things happening actually just got back from a trip to New York. Where we've been working with our formulators and selected and finalized all our packaging. And so there's some exciting things that are happening and I promise I will continue to share more and more with you each week.
And you might be listening to this, like years down the road after we've launched as a partner with Restore. And you're just kind of catching up on maybe the foundational values of how we got started. So, if you are welcome, I'm so excited that you're here and a part of this, and hopefully this will be a fun way to, for you to ~kind of ~peek behind the scenes and what it looked like at the [00:04:00] very beginning, before we even had our products in hand.
So. Let's talk about growth. So with each of these values, if you've been listening, you know, that we have a verse, a verse from the Bible because biblical wisdom is. One of our core values. That was the very first one we went, ~went~ to. And so when we were selecting these values and I'm trying to find my little spreadsheet here, ~of course I have some MRIs, but not all. Let me see where it is. ~
~That's not the one. ~There we go.
So each one of the core values has a verse associated with it from somewhere in scripture. And so for growth, the verse that we chose is first Corinthians three seven. Which says, so neither the one who plants. Nor the one who waters is anything but only God who makes things grow. So I'm starting with that because it's kind of the foundational element for the next thing that we're going to talk about, which is the three reasons that we decided to choose this as our foundational value.
So we're doing that every week, the reasons behind it, and not just one reason, [00:05:00] but three reasons. And you can hopefully understand why this in these values as the core of what we're doing and why we're doing it. So the first reason that we decided to choose the word growth. Is because essentially that's exactly what the business of network marketing or direct sales is.
That's essentially what any facet of your life, your family, your relationships, your home, your personal growth, all of those things. It's like a field that you're trying to cultivate. And in fact, if you look behind me, if you're watching this on YouTube, ~Um, ~and if you're not, you can envision, I have this painting by my amazing sister in law that represents this vision that the Lord gave me the beginning of this year.
So about nine months ago. Where. I was trying to just kind of balance all of the things that were important to me. So my family, my home, obviously my business, this podcast. And just really kind of trying to navigate the areas of growth, ~um, ~that I wanted for each one, as I stepped into [00:06:00] the new year.
And that was coming off the heels of a season of deep grief after losing one of my best friends to cancer. And so I loved that beautiful picture that the Lord gave me. And I also loved that when my world got rocked this summer again, and that the business. And the company that I loved had decided to shift directions.
And I knew that my heart didn't align with the direction of that company, but I couldn't imagine what the Lord had planned, but it was kind of crazy because all of it went right back to those fields and the fields that he had put on my heart, because business doesn't define who I am and what I do for an income.
Doesn't define who I am. It's essentially just a field that needs to be cultivated. And so when it comes to this first reason, it's for me, it's. All about planting the seeds. And it's God's responsibility to make them grow. And I hope that that's refreshing for you. And that I had to completely like till up that my business field, [00:07:00] if you will, because I had to think, okay, if I don't align with the company in terms of, you know, the leadership side and that not being an option anymore. ~Uh, ~what does that even look like for the business side?
And so I had to literally ~kind of ~dig up all the dirt ~and, ~and kind of, you know, recultivate that field. But all I can do is plant the seeds, which is essentially what I'm doing now. And so hopefully if you are a partner with Restore or you might be a partner or a distributor at another network marketing company, because as always, I like to transparently share my journey in both leadership and now an ownership of direct sales with you.
Even if you stay at the company you're with like for the long run and don't ever do anything over the restore, I still want to be able to lift up and grow the industry by sharing my experience with you. And so I hope that. That's refreshing too, to you to know that just like that verse in first Corinthians says it's not your job to actually make things grow.
It's your job to water or ~to, ~to plant the seeds. And to water and to keep your fields [00:08:00] cultivated so that you can grow. And so that your team can grow. If that's what you want. And so the way that you do that, the way that you grow your team is people don't need to be reminded that direct sales and network marketing is an amazing opportunity to make an income that seed has already been planted for people by getting, Hey girl, DM messages, a million times on Facebook.
Can I get an amen? They don't need that message. What they need is your story. They need your love and your excitement for what you're doing. They need those little seeds planted. And if you're not talking about it, whether that's. One to one and relationships, or if you're, you know, for example, in a makeup or a demonstrated will product company. If you're not talking about your experience. In, you know, in, in a communication kind of relational way with people, you're probably not planting the seeds, which means you're definitely not going to grow anything.
And obviously social media I'll know, I have a love hate with it, but social media is a perfect example. If you're not planting seeds about [00:09:00] what it is that you are sharing and loving and selling, or about your journey in leadership, or just your experience of being a distributor or partner with your company, then you're certainly not going to grow. But I think the trouble comes when we think it's our responsibility to grow our team. Or to grow the leaders that are among us.
And ~we, ~we can't, you can't put that burden of responsibility. All you can do is share the seeds, plant the seeds. Water them, because if you've ever had a garden and you don't water the plants, guess what happens, it weathers and they die. And so, you know, even if the Lord's will is for those plants to grow, if you're not the one that's taking care of things and you're not watering it. It's also not going to happen, but you don't have to get down there in the dirt and force the plant or the fruit to come up out of the ground and grow.
It's going to do it. If you just plant the seeds and you focus on watering and cultivating. So just that's the first reason that we chose this is I think it's a really important visual [00:10:00] as you either start or look to grow. Your business, whether that's with the restore or not. So the number two reason we chose this as growth is something that is why we're here on the earth.
And what I'm talking about is growing as a person growing to become more like Christ. If you're a believer like me, And it doesn't mean that you even have to grow a team or grow other people along the journey with you though, that is I'm telling you it's the best part of this business, but it does mean that if you're not growing, you're either dying. And going backwards. Or you're done cooking my friend and you might be ready to be called home to Aternity.
And so my sweet, amazing friend, Emily, that past. She had lived the most incredible life, the most incredible example. And honestly, I was just sharing this with a friend the other day that we didn't, it was like a mutual relationship. I didn't even know that she knew her. It's another one of my daughter's cheer moms. And she was just saying she's like, she was just such a beautiful person inside and [00:11:00] out and she could do no wrong. And I'm like, you know what, no wonder the Lord called her home.
She had done it all and had, was just lived such a beautiful example and obviously was taken too soon, but we know where she is. And so if you. Aren't growing as a person. Are going to become more like Christ. You're going backwards or. You're going to be called home. Which of course, none of us knows.
We're all all going to be called there eventually right. Or called somewhere. But it's up to him. Right. All we can do is continue to plant the seeds. That's going back to the biblical wisdom and watering those seeds by maybe cultivating really great relationships and, and getting, ~getting ~poured into. By others along the way.
And so in that. Personal development is something that you should be working towards and you always should be working towards growing yourself and hopefully growing others around you. Because again, that's the biggest blessing. So that's the number two reasons is that we chose growth as the value is if you're not growing. [00:12:00] You are done blooming. And until that day comes, I invite you to keep learning, to keep trying you guys in starting a network marketing company.
Of course, I had no idea what I was doing. Not a clue, not a clue. I knew the network marketing leadership side. I know systems. I have been a business owner and entrepreneur before, so there's certain facets that ~I've, uh, You know,~ I guess had experience in other endeavors in, and I can see where the Lord has grown me to this point in order to be able to do this.
But I will tell you the amount that I've grown, even in the last, what, not even two months in building this business is pretty amazing. And it's an, it's an incredible experience to be able to do it. So that's why growth is important to us. And that's why I'm sharing it with you. Okay. So the last reason we chose growth is something beautiful that I'm very excited to share with you. And this is something that if you were on my have been on my team before, you know that I had this inspiration earlier this year, but I'm so excited to bring it to the entire [00:13:00] company with Restore which is we will have a bottom up approach.
So this is a pyramid over here. My friends it's like a gorgeous Oak tree, or really I've heard about the Redwood tree, which grows like really strong roots. But essentially like, I want you to picture your network marketing business, whether that's with Restore or not again, but especially if. It's with Restore
our structure is going to be first Roger and I, who are connected through Christ as kind of our CEO and the example that we are looking to follow in his, ~in his ~brilliant wisdom. When it comes to relationships to money, to all of the things, basically he gives that example. And then we will be supporting a foundation of founding partner mentors, which will essentially be the mentorship. Of the company that we will have,~ um,~ basically a lot, make sure that they are aligning with the roots of all of our core values.
We have already selected a majority of these. [00:14:00] Founding partner mentors. We do have a couple of spots available and I'm praying about the right people fitting into that. So,~ um,~ the analogy I've kind of been using is those founding partner mentors have to have strong, solid leadership experience. Just like if I were. ~Um, you know, Uh, ~doing tryouts for like an all-star cheer team.
Everybody who has to have a back tuck the back tuck is strong 2% plus network marketing leadership for at least two years. So if, you know, if someone that fits that description and they're not already planted and growing at another company, cause I'm not trying to take anybody from something that they've already been called to, but if you're like me and maybe. Weren't ready to dive into something else.
And you've just been waiting for that right opportunity. And you've got a killer back tuck. Find a way to get in touch with me. Shoot me a message. Find me. Somehow and let me know quickly, because I do feel like there's maybe one or two more people that fit this, but you guys, I can't wait to introduce you [00:15:00] in the next coming weeks. To the founding partner mentors for Restore Collective, that will essentially be the strong roots for this company that will support the basis for the trunk, which will it be our partners. That will support the incredible fruit. And blossoms of our customers that hopefully fall in love with this makeup.
And so for us, it's not a pyramid, it's like a beautiful tree. That'll be kind of like organically shaped and the fruit and the top and what we're lifting up and growing together are our customers. And the way we do that is through strong partners who are aligned with strong roots and aligned with our founding partner mentors. And that's essentially how we're going to start this company.
So I know that that's an exciting update for you and your wheels are probably rolling and know that this has been one of the hardest and most challenging decisions, but I'm telling you the people that we have put in this role that I will be [00:16:00] introducing you to very, very soon. They are. Just all in with this.
And I know the Lord is calling to them to this as much as He's calling me. And that was kind of more important than the Back tuck as they had to be called to this. And so I have a feeling, like I said, that there's a couple more people that might fit that, that, that bucket. And if that's the case,~ um, ~you let me know. But I'm so excited to be able to grow this beautiful strong tree with any of you guys who want to be able to dive in, in Q1 of 2025.
And until then, Definitely keep listening because I will continue rolling out the next nine of our core values that we have. And I will be rolling out more scoop and details along the way, but let's pray and wrap up this episode. Lord. I thank you so much for the amazing opportunity to share the inspiration that you continue to pour into me through your word, through conversations with others who are growing together with me along this journey.
And [00:17:00] thank you for the calling years ago, to be able to invite others through this podcast, to listen in on the journey, regardless of whether they have ever joined me in business or will ever join me in the future in business in any way, shape or form, it's such a blessing to be able to plant the seeds and the. The goodness that you've experienced in the fruit that I've been able to see in my life and my business to be able to share that fruit with others.
And so I just ask you Lord to bless those that are listening to give them clarity. On how they specifically can grow as a person and how they can release that weight of being the one that's responsible for the growth. To you because it's just their job to plant the seeds, to water, to cultivate their fields, whether that's with their family or with their relationships, whether that's with their home or whether that's what their business. And Lord, we just ask you to help them to grow beautiful and strong. And in you. And Lord, thank you for putting the right people in our place to be these [00:18:00] founding partner mentors.
We are so excited and we cannot wait to continue to roll out. ~Uh, ~more information on that. And Lord, just, if someone's spirit is stirring and they are the right fit, we ask that you, ~uh, ~find a way for them to connect with us as soon as possible and just. ~Uh,~ we know that you have blessed this, this group so far, and we just pray that you continue to do that.
And so thank you for those listening that have already entrusted us in this endeavor and are kind of going backwards and listening to the foundational. Elements of it. What a blessing to be able to share transparently with them as well. And we just ask that you be with all of us, we are so thankful for everything we do.
We know it's all from you. In Jesus' name. Amen. All right guys until next week where we share the next value. Thanks for listening. Bye. [00:19:00]
