116 | Lessons from a Top Leader: Michelle Sanchez on the Power of Going All in with Seint
===
[00:00:00] Hey friends, welcome back to the Called to Lead podcast. So I'm so excited to be bringing you guys another episode of lessons from a top leader. And I love this girl that is with me today. So much. Michelle Sanchez is an amazing leader here who has just, she's doing a lot of inspiring things. You guys are going to love hearing about she's it'll be some updates on some things we've already talked about on the podcast.
But I had the opportunity to connect deeper with Michelle when she took a leap of faith and Rode with me five hours up to the mountains for the love retreat and actually even stated a completely different house with a completely group of different women that you just barely knew. And from that, we've just had this explosion of just connection and I've always been inspired by what Michelle has been able to do in her business.
And so today I can't wait for you to hear her heart, hear her story, because you're going to be inspired to, and also just kind of hear how there's been like a slight shift in what the Lord has, has directed her and her business and how that's super relevant to a lot of the things that are going on in our [00:01:00] businesses right now.
So let's dive in.
Michelle, thank you so much for being here. [00:02:00] Thank you for having me, Heather. I'm super excited to be here. Yay, this is seriously such a blessing because you you are amazing girl, and I know ~people hear me not be ~Well, if people might be familiar with you, they might not, but for those who've never met you before, like, just give us kind of the story of like who you were before, say, before you decided to join here.
I know you've had a recent move in your life. So just tell us more about you, girl. Yeah, so, ~um, ~I am a professional cosmetologist by trade. ~Um, ~I worked at a couple salons, ~um, ~doing specializing in men's haircutting actually. ~Um, ~but I always like wanted to do makeup. ~Um, ~when I was in hair school, I remember like loving makeup, like YouTube came out during that time.
~Um,~ and it was like something that I was always passionate about. And I started off kind of doing like bridal hair and makeup, but it was like very like, Sparse and, ~um,~ I just wasn't as fast at it, so I went to like men's hair cutting 'cause that was like another one of my passions. But I always loved makeup.
~Um, ~and we actually used to live in Tampa, Florida. Moved to St. Louis, Missouri in [00:03:00] 2019 when my husband got a job in ministry there.
~Um. ~And I was kind of jobless for a little while because I had to transfer my license and stuff so that I could work at a salon. When I finally went to work at the salon, I lost my job because of COVID.
~Um, ~like a week after I got hired, ~um,~ didn't know that was going to happen. And it was like one of those things that I just really like didn't know what I was going to do in that timeframe. I really started, ~uh, ~focusing on, ~um, ~Content creating during that time. And I discovered,~ uh, ~cream makeup. It was a different cream makeup, not the one that we sell, but totally different cream makeup.
And I learned in that moment that cream makeup was like the makeup I was looking for. It like looked like skin felt like skin. It didn't enhance my skin texture. So I was like obsessed with cream makeup. ~Um,~ so then once things started like opening back up and, ~um. ~I had a friend at our church that she was a makeup artist and she was looking for someone to help her out with a couple of weddings and I was like okay well I don't have like a full like on kit but I can definitely like work with what I have and I was looking for like a cream foundation palette ~um ~because like it's just easier to [00:04:00] carry in my kit it's not as expensive as buying a bunch of liquid foundations and all that stuff ~um ~and I was To scrolling one day, like looking for this specific brand that was like sold out everywhere.
And for some reason I just couldn't sleep. This was probably the end of 2020. ~Um, ~and I found somebody showing like this five minute makeup and they were like putting all these dots all over their face. Like it looked crazy, but then it looked so good. And I was like, okay, wait, like that looks really, really good.
And I could never do my makeup in five minutes and it actually looked good. So I was like intrigued. So I started watching all of her videos. ~Um, ~And I decided to like, get a match. And then I went on the website because as a makeup artist, I thought I could color match myself. I was like, I don't need her.
I'll just match myself while I wait for her. That was a mistake. Let me just say, never try to match yourself. From the website anyways. ~Um, ~so thankfully I didn't buy the, the like stuff, but I saw how much I was going to end up spending and like, as I continued, like looking through the website, I saw there was like an artist program and it was very [00:05:00] intriguing.
I thought maybe it was like affiliate marketing. ~Um, ~cause I had worked with a couple of other companies with affiliate codes and stuff like that. So that's what I thought it was. But then I saw it was direct sales and I was like, okay, I, I don't know. I haven't personally been burned by direct sales, but I did have like my sister in laws who were with a company, ~um,~ and had like just some really crazy things happen to them and like some shady mess and like pressured into doing some crazy stuff.
And I was like, I. Don't want to do this because it's direct sales, but it's so intriguing. And like, you know what? Like we get a discount, so let me just do it and I'll do it for like the discount. So I went to sleep, prayed about it, woke up the next morning, open my Bible app, and I saw, I think it's Psalm 24.
If I'm not mistaken, maybe it's Psalm 26, and it says, oh, Psalm 24, may He give you the desires of your heart and make all your plans succeed. And when I read that, I was like, okay, like, is God shifting my desires to like, you know, do this? Like, is He [00:06:00] like wanting this to be part of my plan? Like, okay, I'll just go for it.
And a little bit about me, I've always been really insecure. I've struggled with confidence for, you a really long time. I never thought that I would be a confident person. ~Um, ~and I always told my husband, like, I wish I could be as confident as you. And it's funny because, like, when I signed up, I signed up under someone that I felt like wasn't going to pressure me into, like, doing all these things and, like, you know, that would, like, let me kind of, you Do whatever I wanted with my business and I made sure because like I said I was with other affiliate companies and stuff that I could still do like the affiliate marketing and stuff like that and like showcase any makeup brand like it didn't just have to be all Seint content like 24 seven.
So my upline she was really really great about like answering all my questions and reassuring me that. Talked to my husband. I thought he was gonna tell me no, but he was like, I think you should go for it, babe. I totally think that you could like kill it and i'm like, I don't know like i'm just gonna do it for the discount And for the kit like i'm just gonna put this in my freelance kit So my upline like she told me ~um, ~all of the things that I would need to [00:07:00] do To basically like, you know hit my first rank and all that stuff And she told me this is only if you want to if you don't want to like you don't have to But I was like, you know what like something in me just told me You Like to just go all in and see what happens.
And I, ~um,~ did my Facebook party. I didn't think anyone was going to show up. I didn't think that, ~um, ~I was going to get any sales or anything like that. And surprised, like I did my first live with this makeup, like barely knowing how to use it. ~Um, ~and surprisingly, like so many people showed up to my live.
I couldn't believe that people were actually showing up to support me. ~Um, ~I ended up. hitting my first rank within like two weeks of me being an artist. ~Um, ~and I was like, okay, like, I think I can actually do this. Like, people actually are interested in what I have to say and what I'm sharing. So let's just go for it.
Let's go all in. And,~ um,~ I'm really thankful for my mentor because she helped me to,~ um, ~Like focus on personal development. Cause she knew that I struggled with insecurity and confidence. So I listened to a lot of personal development podcasts, read some books on personal [00:08:00] development and really implemented the things that I was learning.
~Um, ~and you know, It's crazy to think like back in the at the end of 2020 I was so insecure and like had zero confidence and now it's like I can do a live with that, like, in my sleep like it's, it's nothing for me, but that didn't happen overnight it definitely is something that you know sometimes I still struggle with the insecurity aspect, but I just always reflect back on like how far I've gone.
Or how far I've come and that's just really helped me to like continue to stay confident and like stay true to what God has called me to do. Gosh, I love, love your story. Of course, I've heard most of it, but I don't know that I had heard that part about the scripture and that's amazing. That's so special because you know, on a recent training, I kind of talked about that, you know, I had a shift about that verse and it's in multiple times, you know, in the Bible, but it's like the Lord gives you like, people read that as like, Oh, he's going to give you the desire of your heart.
Like it's a, ~uh,~ you know, a genie in a [00:09:00] bottle, which he does. There are a lot of other scriptures that talk about, you know, the blessings that come from obedience. But another way to read that is that he gives you the desire. Right? Like he's the one who gave you the desire to do this. And then when you get confirmation from your husband, And then, you know, you, you step out in faith, right?
Encourage of doing the things that, that your mentor smartly told you to do. ~Um, ~and then, and then it builds your confidence to kind of keep going, which was exactly like what you said you were, you were hoping to do. And one of the things that I think is really cool about your journey starting in business is when you started, I know you said you mentioned YouTube and I know you have a YouTube channel and of course now you have an awesome following, following on Instagram.
Did you have much of a following when you started? Started or what? What was that like? Like, what was your content? I guess strategy like when you started integrating things. Yeah, so I didn't really have much of a following just yet. I was mostly focused on, ~um,~ like YouTube at that time. I was doing like weekly YouTube videos.
I would [00:10:00] do a lot of unboxings and like four looks, one palette type videos, like stuff like that. Cause at that time I was really trying to be this influencer. I was trying to be like this beauty influencer, have like PR sent to me, all these things. And I definitely had my motive. excuse me, my motivations were like in the wrong place.
~Um, ~when I first started and I shared a lot of like makeup content, like I would do a lot of creative makeup looks because for a little while I did work at some makeup counters and I had to wear makeup every single day. So I got to like play with different looks. Sometimes they would tell us like certain looks to do and stuff like that.
~Um, ~so I would post a lot of those types of looks on my Instagram, but it wasn't really like blowing up or anything. And then the algorithm on Instagram also changed. So that like, kind of like. Made my, ~uh,~ growth kind of stagnant for a while there. ~Um, ~so I probably had like less than a thousand followers on Instagram.
~Um,~ really most of my sales came from Facebook. I was posting here and there on YouTube, but then I was like really [00:11:00] focusing on like, Mastering Instagram and saw like that creating Instagram content was quicker and easier. ~Um, ~and I was working a job at that time I was still working at the salon. So I needed something that I could sustain So I did kind of shift from YouTube to Instagram.
I think I maybe had like almost a thousand subscribers on on YouTube Or at least like really close to that And I would like post very sporadically on YouTube. So it's like I kind of shifted, like, from being on YouTube all the time, ~um,~ to like Instagram. And it took me probably, I always tell this to the people who joined my team is like, you know, social media is something that takes time.
If you have no real presence, it takes time to like cultivate that like community and like that trust. ~Um, ~and it took me six months for me to get my first color match on Instagram. Facebook was different because Facebook, it was filled with people. I already knew I already had these connections. So it was a more warmer market.
So people trusted me more. Like they already knew that I was doing makeup and stuff like that. But on [00:12:00] Instagram, like it was a lot of random people. Like I probably had like five friends that actually followed my makeup content. And, ~um, ~it took them a while to trust that I was going to continue to do this.
And like, you know, that I actually believed in this product. I literally would have people ask me like. Do you really like the makeup? Or are you just sharing about it because you're like getting commission off of it? And it's like, no, I would never just share something because I'm making money off of it.
That's just not me. Yeah. Oh my gosh. So much. Yes. And it's no wonder that now, four years later, you are a top seller in the company. Like you earned the trip that we get to go to Mexico together. I get to literally see you in person and hug your neck again, which is going to be so special. ~Um,~ but now you, you are, you know, a, a.
A top seller here and a top leader as well, because you have reached a leadership rank, which I know we can kind of talk more, you know, about that as well. But one of the things I love about your story is like, even though you had ambitions of building your business and actually even were able to grow your same business.
Kind of using the [00:13:00] influencer method like we've talked about in this podcast, you know, you and I've talked about that,~ um, ~but you still started it in a way that is duplicatable for anyone, which is Facebook, where they're already connected with people, you know, doing learning the skills of having a class and a party, overcoming the courage of doing a live.
And it wasn't until after you have the confidence that came from that, that then your content probably started to get even better to where then you started to grow a following over there. So I love that this business can be done in a million different ways. And it's kind of neat that you, you know, you've, you've seen a lot of them, but.
You've recently had a shift, right? And kind of in your perspective, because when, even when we went to the mountains and we had so many awesome conversations in the car and you started the year with a very clear vision for how you wanted to especially show up, like, for example, on social media, maybe talk about like that vision and then, and then, and then the catalyst maybe behind it, how it's shifted here recently.
Yeah, so in the beginning of this year, so I moved from St. [00:14:00] Louis.~ Um,~ I think it was last year, November 2022. Is that what year that was? ~Um,~ and when we moved, like, we're coming, right? We're in 2023? We're in 2024. Oh, my gosh. Was it 20? I was like, Has it been that long? Yeah, that's right. Okay. Yeah. We talked about it in April of 23.
Yeah. San Diego that your movie I was like, Time flies. I mean, it does fly, but yeah, I have no, no idea what year it is, what day it is. Anyways, I moved from St. Louis in ~um, ~April November of 2023 and I moved to North Florida. So right now I live near Amelia Island, Florida, ~um,~ in a small little city called the Uli, nobody really knows about it unless you're from here.
But, ~um,~ we moved here for my husband's job here in ministry and I left behind like, you know, all the connections, all the like friendships that I had, ~um,~ you know, my, my very thriving, ~uh, ~makeup artist business that I was able to pursue that and like also saying full time, ~um, ~And [00:15:00] that was like a huge source of my income.
So when I moved, I decided to like really focus on Seint full time. And I don't know if it's because of like, you know, just the shift in social media or what it was, but I just felt like it was getting almost harder for me to like, ~um, ~Really create the same results that I was getting before in the past with like posting on social media and stuff.
And I don't know if it's also because like, to be really honest, like qualifying for that trip to Mexico was not an easy feat. ~Um, ~you know, I was literally in the middle of a move while trying to qualify for that last month. And,~ um, ~I think we found out in September of 20. 23 that we were moving. ~Um, ~and I had like a month to pack everything up, finish all these weddings that I had booked.
October is crazy wedding season. So it was just like a lot, like on my plate. And like, thankfully, by the grace of God, like I was able to qualify for that trip, like literally on the last day, like boxes all around me. I had amazing, ~um,~ people like encouraging me and like helping me, like. You know, push forward.
~Um, ~because I was like so close, [00:16:00] you know, and I didn't want to, ~um, ~sell myself short. But anyway, we can talk about that a little bit more later. But,~ um,~ I think after that, I kind of had a little bit of burnout. And I also had a little bit of like, just trying to really figure out what I was doing, because I'm in a new place now.
And now I'm trying to figure out, okay, I don't have any connections here, like in person, like I still have my friends, like in St. Louis, and like friends, even in Tampa, but I don't have those in person connections. And that's where I was getting like, I'd say at least like 30 percent of my sales were coming from in person, like makeovers and like, ~um, ~you know, me doing weddings and stuff like that.
And people inquiring about it. ~Um, ~but I was getting a lot on social media, so I don't know if it was like me being in my head or what it was. So I decided like in 2024, ~um,~ a lot of people were telling me that I should. Represent like a certain company. ~Um, ~and they were like, I'm just shocked that you're not.
And like, I had just started using the products and I really loved it. And like, it was a kind of like one of those things that like, I felt like other people were kind of telling me how I needed to run my business and like the potential that they saw in me to like be able to do it [00:17:00] all. And I had already joined like a second direct sales company, but it was really just a hobby.
It was more so because I enjoyed the like, And like people would ask me about it and I would like, you know, send them my link, but I wouldn't really like post about it often because it just wasn't like my niche, if you will, or like the thing that I was passionate about. But this other company that I basically third company that I decided to join, I was like, okay, well, let's do all three of these and do it kind of like a.
Beauty virtual beauty advisor type thing, right? And I thought I could sustain it. I thought that I was going to be able to like make it all work if I created like the same system that I had for Seint with the other companies and like, you know, being consistent with like showing up for all of that, but I didn't realize like how even though like, All of the companies, I kind of, the products all, ~um, ~completed each other.
Like each one of the companies were so different. They all required a different, like, ~um, ~need, if you will. [00:18:00] And like different,~ um, ~skills for me to learn, for me to like properly be able to execute all of them. And, ~um,~ you know, like I mentioned, when I became an artist with Seint. I prayed about it, it wasn't like a decision that I just made like rashly, but for these other companies that I'd said of like, Add in to like create this virtual beauty advisor.
~Um, ~like me should be lower like profile. I never really like prayed about it. I'm more so like just told God about it. It was like more like, Hey, God, I'm going to do this. But it's not like, Hey, God, do you think I should do this. And I think that's where like, The failure came in and I don't really want to say failure because I didn't fail at it.
I was successful at like even adding the other companies and stuff like that, but it wasn't something that was sustainable and it wasn't something that was even duplicatable. Like I literally had people that were wanting to join my team. Because they saw that I was doing other direct sales companies and they're like, you could teach me how to do all of it.
And it's like, no, I really can't because I don't even know how to do all [00:19:00] of it. And it was something that like, like I said, I feel like people were kind of telling me that I should do it more than like me really feeling like I should be like adding all these other things. And I had a certain vision, like I thought that it would all work out.
And I thought I would be able to manage it on my own, but it just was becoming way too much. ~Um, ~okay. And I realized like, okay, God, I'm gonna, I want to pray about this. And I really just felt God speaking to me to like, focus all my eggs in one basket and really just go back to where, what he originally called me to like almost go back to, to the beginning where it all started, because he's gonna, he's not done blessing me there yet.
And like, I can't just move on because I was kind of burnt out, if you will. Oh, my gosh. Well, you know, I love this because, you know, you know, my heart is, is,~ uh,~ is aligned with you and, and, and going all in, obviously on what, what the Lord has called you to do. ~Um, ~and I do think, you know, right now in this season, it's [00:20:00] certainly with me, but I think honestly, a bigger kind of.
I think it's a network marketing, social selling. I know I've even talked about. I need to go back and revisit the whole like network marketing versus social selling and how they're very different. But, you know, I think that I think so many people are probably feeling right now, like, do I need to join another company?
Like, can I be successful in multiple and. They're kind of thinking about it or in a lot of cases, just doing it. Or, or again, someone, like you said, it's kind of telling them that like, yeah, you totally, you can do that. And while there's, you know, all the grace in the world for the decisions that, that people make, and there are a million different ways to do this business.
It's encouraging for me, I think, on the one level to know that, like, this is the, the direction that, that the Lord has given you confidence in, ~um,~ that is the same as for me, right? But also, because I know personal development has been a big part of your journey, like you said, your mentor, you know, plugged you in on that.
And I'm actually reading through that. To not really like Christian based, ~um,~ really great business books right now. One is 10 X is easier than two X and one is called traction. And it's about like an [00:21:00] entrepreneurial operating system. And they both actually gave that exact same business advice. Which let's be real, like all the best biblical or all the best business advice is based in the Bible.
And if you just look to the Lord as your mentor and your coach, like he will guide you on all of these things, as I know you and I both agree. But I just think it's also like, it's just smart business, right? Like in the book and in the chapter, I literally listened to this morning. It's like, if you are getting distracted by this shiny thing that on paper seems like it might be a really great idea or it might increase.
your revenue or increase your income or increase ~your, um,~ you know, capacity to reach your niche or the vision that you've, that you've created for how you want to run your social media or whatever that looks like. But in reality, like, is it, is it adding to, or is it taking away from the opportunity that has already been proven to bless your life and in your business?
And it's one thing, if that's not the case, like if. You know, whether it's insane or another network marketing company, if they don't love the product, if it's not blessing their business, if it's not profitable, [00:22:00] then yeah, that's the time where it's probably smart to pursue something else. And I'd go all in there, but like, how, like, how has it been?
Cause, well, gosh, it's really just been a recent, I think, development, but like, what, how did that feel to have that, like that, that vision of clarity to focus in on what, what's been such a blessing to you already? Yeah. Yeah, I think, you know, at first it was kind of scary because, like, I think the biggest thing whenever you're considering, like, because I know for me, when I was considering this, like, I was like, okay, I think I could do this because I could, like, Bless ourselves financially like so much.
If I were to like pick up another company that also has a really great compensation plan and like, even though I'm not going to team build with that one, because,~ um,~ little side note, I truly believe that you cannot team build them more than one company. Let me just like put that little plug in there. So I was never focused on the team building aspect.
I added those other companies because. It just was a higher commission payout than me [00:23:00] looking for an affiliate company that was going to probably pay me 5 percent versus like me possibly being able to earn up to 40%, you know, ~um, ~and also like having that residual income. But anyways, ~um, ~I think like part of it was like a little bit scary because like I was almost living in that like scarcity mindset.
And I think that was like, kind of like what pushed me towards like, You know, listening to these other voices and these other people telling me, Oh my gosh, you totally should do it. I think you can make it, make it happen. Like you would be so good at it. And I would definitely buy from you if you sold this too and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
And it's like,~ um,~ you know, I think. It was at first a little scary because I was thinking in that mindset, but then I just like remembered all that God has provided for us and like how he has provided like in my Seint business, you know, and when I fully trusted him in this, in my Seint business. Like he, he made a way and why won't he do it again?
You know, like, why couldn't he do it again? You know? So when I finally, like I talked about this in a live that I did over on [00:24:00] Instagram,~ um, ~it was after we actually finished our training, ~uh,~ for replicate your results. And I. Just felt in that moment, like God was already kind of speaking to me a little bit, cause it was kind of going through my mind all this month.
And he was already kind of speaking to me a little bit that I needed to like, let go and truly like submit myself whole wholly to this company that has already blessed me because like, there's more blessings that are going to come. I just need to like, trust him and trust that he's going to lead me, guide me and equip me with everything that I need.
~Um, ~so when I finished talking in my live, I felt this like, Weight and burden almost like come off my shoulders. And like, I just felt like this, like clarity and like this, like all the noise that was happening in my, my head, like all the anxiety just like left me, you know, and I'm not saying that like, in the two weeks that I've made that decision that like, you know, I ended up Like ranking to a new rank or anything like that.
Like nothing crazy has happened just yet, but [00:25:00] I know that God is getting ready. Like he's preparing me so that I can fully commit. I can fully devote myself to what he has for me. And it's actually funny because today, ~um,~ I I'm also doing a Bible reading plan similar to yours where I'm trying to read the Bible in a full year.
~Um, ~And right now I'm in Exodus. So, ~um, ~they're talking about,~ um, ~like when they started building like the, the temple and then like the ark and all that stuff and like ~how, um,~ God equipped the people that were going to build everything with everything that they need, all the wisdom that they needed. Like, not only did they, did God equip them, but then he also like, ~um,~ Provided he used other people to provide all of the supplies and they had an abundance They had way too much like to the point where they had almost be like stop Giving us like all of your material because we have enough we have more than enough actually and that to me spoke So clearly knows like reconfirmation like, you know for me to always when i'm praying about my business To ask god to [00:26:00] give me the wisdom because he can you know, like one thing that I felt kind of like You~ Um, ~weary on was like, what am I supposed to do every single day?
Like, where am I supposed to find these people? Like, who am I supposed to connect? Like, like all those different little things. But I feel like when we, when we specifically ask God for it, he will give us the wisdom. He's going to give us the people that we're supposed to connect with. He's going to lead us.
And it might not look like this crazy, like huge thing. And I think that's where. Our mindset, especially with social media, like we see these top sellers, we see these like really top leaders that they're getting like 1000 color matches per week and whatever the case may be. And we want that. And it's like, well, why can't we.
Like find joy in the little that God has given us and like, knowing that he's going to provide abundantly. So, and almost like cherish that,~ um,~ it kind of goes with like stewardship, like steward this little that he's given you and watch how God's going to like bless you in abundance. Just trust that he's going to equip you with everything that you need.
Oh my gosh. [00:27:00] So good. So good. I mean, he, yeah, he, if we, if we ask him and you're right, I think it's all of us, not just like some of us, but like all of us, I think are quick to like, try to do it on our own or move forward. Like you said, talk to him, but not like ask him, you know, for, for those things. And like, yes, it's like when, when you do, and when you seek him, like he, he will, like, he will, you'll find him and he will give you the people, the ideas, the time that I think you and I were talking about that the other day.
Okay. Yeah. I think I was, I never had messages back and forth, but like the time, like time is his, like he owns the time. We all have the same 24 hours in the day, but like when you're operating in his like agenda for your life, like somehow he just makes the time for the right things. And he doesn't allow the time for the things that maybe aren't in his will, which is one of the things I have to tell myself, like, I didn't do that because it wasn't part of the plan for that day.
But. But you're, you're, I love that analogy of the, the building of the, the arc and the, ~um, ~you know, the tent and tabernacle and all that stuff. ~Um, ~and it reminds [00:28:00] me of something really cool that you deserve, like all the love and the hugs and all the things in this world, because I've mentioned on this podcast before that we put together, ~um,~ an inclusivity panel after we realized that some of our systems that we were rolling out were really broken in terms of really serving, ~uh, ~you know, different groups.
Of women. Well, like it wasn't, we were trying to be all things to all people with one pool and that was never going to be effective. And so we put our heads together. Michelle was really the catalyst for this. And she's like, I feel like we can do better. And I was like, you're right. We can't let's do better.
Let's do this. And so we put together this, this inclusivity panel. And what's really cool is Michelle has offered or offered, ~um,~ when I knew when we were in the car in North Carolina, I could see that we had all these trainings coming and all of this. And I was like, okay, this is hard for me. Cause I'm a horrible delegator and I'm really bad at asking for help, but will you help me with this?
Would you be willing to kind of take this on knowing that we have this amazing group of women who's ready to help. They just need someone who can like step in and guide them. And you guys, Michelle did it. [00:29:00] And it, I mean, I feel like when you were saying the abundance, like that's what it reminds me of.
It's like. People who weren't even assigned to find certain graphics, right, like start showing up, like, here's this and I know you didn't ask for this, but like, let me do this and and it's coming together in such a beautiful, collaborative way. So maybe explain your experience with with what that's been like, and in really working with with women to to develop this, this tool and system that's really going to serve so many people.
Yeah, I think it kind of goes back to like, like I was mentioning, you know, that passage today in scripture, like when God has like a certain vision, you know, and like, you know, puts that in your heart, he's going to supply everything like when I first originally like brought this to Heather, like, I really didn't know, like, you know, how we were going to pull it off.
And I knew that it was like already such a big project, like, yeah, The original like scroll class that we had, ~um,~ so I was like, man, like, you know, creating something that's going to be inclusive. Like, you know, I don't know how we're going to find all these things and like also find the time and [00:30:00] trying to do it in a short time span.
But, ~um. ~Let's just, you know, go for it. And like, I feel like in that moment, like, you know, while we were in there, like we kind of all were seeing like, Oh, well, you know what, I have this person that might be really, really great. Or actually I know somebody who already did this so we can just leverage that.
And like, everything was just kind of like coming together. And it's almost like, you know, like in that last part of the scripture where they were talking about, all right, stop, because we have like an abundance now. Like, that's kind of how it felt like, like we almost have so much. And like me, I'm such an includer.
I'm definitely the type of person that I hate making people feel bad or feeling like left out and I want to use everything. But at the same time, I know that we, we need to be wise with what we are using and like making sure that we're using the things that are going to properly like serve,~ um,~ you know, the project that we're, we're working on.
~Um, ~but it's just been so great to like see how like supportive everyone is, how on board everyone is, how like willing everyone is like once you like. Explain the vision that you have. It's like, you know, God just provides everything else [00:31:00] that you will need for it. And that just really speaks volumes.
Like, you know, like with this project, like with our business and everything like that. Like once you share the vision, God's going to provide. Everything that you need, all the tools, all the equipment. And it's just been such a, an amazing project. And I'm really excited to like be able to launch that. And I just can't wait to see how it's going to bless people's businesses, like tenfold, like it's going to be just absolutely amazing resource.
I totally agree. And I think the cool thing is like, when the other thing about doing it, like the Lord's way, which is not on your own, it's like, you know, coming together with each of our own individual strengths or quirks or, you know, all of the, all of the craziness and, and working better and like working together.
And in that it's like the joy is in the journey. First of all, like, you know, it won't be long before this tool is like, Totally ready to go and it will serve the time and input and effort. Like you said, we'll bless so many, but even just in this journey, like it's been blessed for me because it was hard for me to ask you for, for, [00:32:00] for help or to like take it on or even sometimes like just, you know, kind of hand it over.
Cause I am, I can be a control freak as a perfectionist. We've talked about that, but I knew that you would do it like a beautiful job together. Actually, we would do a way better job than anything I could do on my own or anything you could do on your own. And, and so through that, it's like, we've had the connection, like Women who were feeling exactly how you felt like, okay, like we, this is great, but like, this isn't, this isn't, isn't serving well, like other people who are feeling that way, got to be able to feel seen and heard and connected with people who not only were there to be like, okay, great.
Like, let's, let's fix it. Let's, let's be solutions focused because. They're always going to be there. Like hard things are always going to be there. Hard conversations, all of those things. But when we have the courage to face them, but then not just complain, like when we focus on solutions and working together, again, the joy is there.
The fulfillment in this business is there. And so I think it already has blessed. I know it's blessed me, you know, and it's already blessed this amazing group of women, but you're [00:33:00] exactly right. Like an expanding to Mexico in the future and having Spanish speakers. You know, tools all ready to go for that.
~Um, ~you know, it's just, it's, I, I cannot wait to see the, the reaping that comes from the sewing and the hard work specifically that you, my friend, have taken on. So thank you. You're amazing. Yeah. And I think too, like something that, ~um,~ I just thought of like, ~um, ~seeing how, ~um, ~This group of women, like we're not all like directly like on the same exact team, but that we're able to like work well together and like seeing that need and seeing like how, you know, regardless of what team we're on, regardless of like who our upline is or like even what kind of business we're running, like we all have something that we can give.
It's definitely more of a completion type thing than a competition type thing. And I think that's what like really was shown to me was in this project, like how we can all like work together to like collaborate and like, you know, showcase all of our personalities and all of our needs, not stuff, but then still be able to create something just so beautiful, that's [00:34:00] gonna just bless everybody in such a great way.
So it definitely has been. Something that's like such a great reminder that, you know, we, we can work to really, ~um,~ impact each other and like collaborate with each other, regardless if we are on the same team, regardless if it's going to like give us personal gain or not, you know what I mean? Yes. Yes. I mean, seeing, seeing other people when and helping other people have success in this business is by far the best part of it.
And it's awesome that the business model allows us to have that blessing like financially with, you know, with the team structure. But I have to say sometimes it's like almost an even bigger blessing when you're serving people that you don't, you know, they're, you're not making any money off of, you know, the women, like you said, that, that have success.
So one of the things that came to my heart that I would love to kind of wrap up with is for those who feel like maybe they aren't connected, because we know they're out there, whether it's insane or another company where they're like, well, this all sounds amazing, but I don't have that community or my upline is not as involved, or my upline is doing five [00:35:00] different companies and is, you know, not engaged or not, you know, leading and serving.
I know your story also kind of like, you can kind of resonate with that, that sort of, you know, loneliness factor or not feeling like you have that. What would be your advice to someone who maybe is feeling that right now? Thinking like this sounds great, but like, I can't have that because I don't, I don't have a community or a team.
Yeah, I think one of the biggest things is like, you know, I, ~um,~ definitely felt that, you know, like when my mentor, she decided to take a different path and like, you know, just go a totally different direction. ~Um, ~you know, which of course I'm all for like, Something that I've learned is to always like help people get what they want, regardless of how that like benefits you and stuff like that.
And just like support people, you know, and like at the end of the day, like it's not her job to help me find success. Like it's not her job to like, or give me the success. I should say it's, It was just like, she was my mentor. She was just guiding me in the journey. ~Um, ~but like one of the biggest things that I would tell people is like, you know, to like really overcome that fear of [00:36:00] rejection.
I know it can be scary and you know, like sometimes people are going to reject you. Like I have reached out to a couple of people who maybe they are doing something that I want to do or want like more insight on or whatever the case may be, but like, don't fear, like, Reaching out to somebody that you see is maybe like on a level that you want to be at or you're curious on like, Oh, what tool is it that you used to do this or like what editing program do you use to do this or whatever the case may be, like, Feel free to reach out to people and reach out to plenty of people because sometimes people might ghost you, but nine times out of 10 people, especially in this company, I've learned is that people are so willing to like help each other out regardless if it's for their own personal gain or not.
And then also using like those tools that we have been giving, given from corporate, for example, our, our Facebook artists group page that That is a really great resource to connect with other, like, Seint artists who might be in your area. And regardless if you guys are on the same team or not, like, [00:37:00] I think we can all, like, learn from one another and, like, really gain so much.
And that's, that's really what has helped me. Like, I reached out to people who That were inspiring to me that we're doing things that I want to do too. And I felt like, you know, we, we could definitely collaborate cause we all have something that we can give and we all have something that we can learn from each other.
~Um, ~so just, you know, overcome that fear of rejection. No, that like. There are those people that are willing to help you and it's unfortunate whenever there are people because I have experienced that where people they kind of leave you ghosted or they just kind of are kind of rude about it, or are kind of like sticklers about it.
But I think that, you know, we all can grow together, you know, and if we just open our hearts to that, we can definitely like grow and help each other out in those moments where we do find that loneliness for sure. That's so good. And I think that's another area where like, you know, for those that are believers, like ask the Lord to, you know, to send that person that can be your [00:38:00] encouragement, whether she's in your town, you can use the, like for saying, even use the artist finder or,~ um, ~Michelle and I were chatting right before we hit record.
And I've mentioned it on this podcast, but Michelle, I think hopefully we're going to partner up on this soon, ~um,~ to do these, like, I don't even know what they're going to be called, but like these like meet, say kind of training, you know, artist opportunity, but like artist connection, ~um,~ I guess events, if you will.
And so, you know, if you're in Georgia, like, I think we're going to probably do, well, start with South Carolina, Charleston. ~Um, ~and then we're going to do a few in Georgia, like South Georgia, ~um,~ middle Georgia and kind of North Georgia. East probably Georgia, ~um,~ but then we're definitely going to do one where Michelle lives in, ~um, ~either in, cause we, we should talk about, like, we should talk about things on it.
But anyway, somewhere, somewhere down there, we're going to find somewhere. So if you are in Florida, Georgia, any of those areas, you know, stay tuned for more information or, you know, subscribe to the podcast because I'm, I'm sure I'll, I'll announce them as, as things. ~Um, ~become official, but it's just a great way to connect with other people,~ um,~ and all are welcome.
Whoever's, you know, whoever's team they're, they're on, ~um,~ for anybody that's considering saying or the 30 [00:39:00] and saying, and so I'm excited to work with you again on that, Michelle. It's really fun to collaborate together. Yeah, I agree. I think that in person connection is, is so great. You know, I've reached out to a couple of scene artists, ~um,~ like even in my area, once I first moved here and like, let them know, Hey, I'm moving down here.
I'd love to get coffee with you and just chat. And you have a friend, someone who's like, Kind of doing this alongside with you and like understands the same struggles the same like wins all the little things like the things that a normal friend wouldn't understand. It's like you have kind of like that friendship of someone that gets you so I think it's going to be so so fun and so impactful for sure.
Yes, and like a mini reunion, because of course we'll get to see each other again this fall in September in Atlanta, which is so great for us East Coasters on the planet. ~Um, ~but yeah, it's, it's going to be amazing. So where can people go to find you to kind of follow your journey a little bit? Because obviously you have tons of wisdom when it comes to makeup and all of the things on, on social.
~Um, ~and even I stumbled upon your YouTube channel the other day and I was like, Oh my gosh, she's good. She's really good. Not that I was surprised by that. But where can [00:40:00] people find you,~ um, ~to follow your journey? Yeah, so I'm on, ~um, ~basically every social media platform. Well, um, but I mostly, I mostly am on Instagram, ~um,~ YouTube, TikTok and Facebook at the Michelle Sanchez.
I think YouTube does have an underscore at the end because the Michelle Sanchez was already taken, but if you look me up, you'll definitely find me. Yeah. That's awesome. Well, I know I, for one, can't wait to continue to follow your journey and, and work together because it's, it's just, it's been such a beautiful way that the Lord has brought us together and continues to.
And so, ~um, ~I just, I'm thankful for you, girl, and I'm glad we get into this with them, you know, out loud with everybody. Definitely. Yeah. Well, thanks again, girl. And,~ um,~ more to come. Yes. Anytime. Love listening to the podcast and so honored to be a part of it. Honored to have you here, girl. Thank you again. [00:41:00]
