092 | Ask the Expert: How to Grow Your Team through a Strong Personal Brand with Amber Alrifai from Behind her Boom and AK Social House
===
[00:00:00] Okay friends, welcome back to the Called to Lead Podcast. Y'all are in for such a treat today because you get to meet a new friend and soul sister, might I say, because she is systems minded like me, she has extensive experience. In the network marketing industry. But now she has developed some incredible systems and tools that have helped countless top leaders and top sellers from pretty much every company out there build and scale and grow their business using what she's got to offer.
So you guys are gonna love Amber Alrifai she is also the host of the Behind Her Boom podcast, which if you haven't checked it out yet, I know you'll love it. 'cause if you are a listener of my podcast, I feel like we're similar in that we love the opportunity to share. The stories of other leaders who are doing big things in her bus, in their businesses, and so Amber, thank you so much for being on today and for sharing a little bit of your heart and story and all the things you have to offer.
[00:01:00]
Thank you. Thank you for the intro, Heather. This is super exciting. I always say you never know how quick you can actually relate to somebody, and all of a sudden you have like an instant bestie over [00:02:00] social media, which is so crazy, right? I feel like I have more friends on social media than I had in where I grew up in my, in my actual little town.
So, and I always, I always tell people that I, that I meet to not be afraid to hop on and connect with somebody, whether they're offering us. Product, a service, a freebie, whatever that is, because you don't know where that door's gonna take you and where you're gonna lead to. And look at this, we hopped on a call together a week or so ago, and then it just led to being on each other's podcast.
And we just realized that we are here to serve a very, very similar audience, which is that network marketing space. So thank you for having me on here. Yes. And I think the example of how we met is such a beautiful example of how to grow your business one conversation at a time, because Amber just shot me a message on Instagram of all places.
Some of you guys know, I've recently stepped back into that space, and the minute I kind of stalked her profile, I was like, Ooh, I, I like her. And I definitely wanna learn more about what it is that she has to offer. So instead of kind of getting in my head of like, well, what is she trying to sell? [00:03:00] Or like, what's, you know, what is, what is gonna come from this?
I gave it a shot, and now through that one action of spending, you know, 15, 30 minutes of my time learning about what she has to offer together we can grow not only our businesses through the power of this connection, but we can help so many other people. And so, and we've got some big things that we wanna kind of share with you later on, but I think this is a perfect your story in particular and how we met is a perfect example in the team building series that I've been doing, and I wanna dive in with that.
You were in network marketing. And I know you have a really cool story around that you are not any longer, you started your business, AK Social House. That is now how you spend your time. So maybe kind of give us the backstory on your Absolutely. Yes. And thank you Heather, for allowing me to actually share my story on your platform.
I've been on a couple, been able to, to do that, and it's just, it's a blessing to be able to, to get on and share that and allow people to know what's going on and what the possibilities are for others, [00:04:00] you know, in that space. So I back about, well, Seven years. My son just turned seven, so it would be seven.
I was on maternity leave at the time. About that time ago my sister had actually joined Monet Global, so here in skincare. It had just launched in Canada at the time. And and she was all, you know, like had to get on board, Amber. And I thought, oh my goodness. Like I didn't go to university to like sell shampoo.
I can't do this. That's not, that's not where I'm going, you know? And so I sat on the sidelines and I watched her. But long story short, I had tried to get pregnant for about five and a half years with my husband. And we ended up having to do I V F and so I was pregnant for my son at that time. So I was in this bubble of like, don't talk to me about anything.
'cause I'm gonna get one year of maternity leave that I thought was gonna last forever and I would just be in this little bubble to, to be with me and my son. It just, you know, took so long and I just didn't wanna get into anything else but. That bubble quickly. You know, as you know, you go on mat leave, whether it's six months or a year, the time flies by and all of a sudden you're ready to go back to work.
At that point, my sister was with Moate for about. [00:05:00] I think about seven or eight months she had gotten the car, which like you never, I used to never hear about that. You know, you'd hear of like Mary Kay girls, they go drive peak lec. You don't really see the peak Cadillacs around anywhere. So she had gotten the car, she had done a trip to Hawaii and then I had went to her launch party, they called it and she got a check for 10 K.
And I thought, was that like a, there was just a bonus check, you know? And she, at that point I realized it's real and raw. 'cause I think there's. Still now, even when you go on social media and you see all these top income earners, whether it's six figures, seven figures in the network marketing space, if you haven't been in there, it's, it's a lot to take in.
And a lot of people are very, very skeptical, even if they're watching their sisters or their friends or you know, acquaintances. It's a lot to take in to be able to say, you know what, I can do that. But I looked at my sister and she was a social worker, and I thought she was a social worker. I went and did business, like, I could do this.
I can talk to people. So I joined Monet at that time, but quickly did I find out that she had just kind of ransacked my entire network. So Facebook, I didn't have any Instagram [00:06:00] at the time, but Facebook, all the friends like that I would've grown up with, went to, to university with you know, all that network.
My mom was like a v I p, you know, aunts, uncles, she just had everybody. So I had a real dried up network. When you talk about coming from a small town or having 300 friends, I had nobody that was like maybe my best friend who didn't join her yet. There was nobody that, that was it. And so I quickly thought, you know, I'm just set up to fail.
This isn't gonna work for me. I'm gonna quit. I'll go back to work. I. My husband's an engineer by day. But he's also just loves the whole social media aspect side of things. And he got in and took this course with Ty Lopez, and it was learning all about social media and the marketing side of things.
And he was like, Amber, we can like run an ad and, and you know, create this like system and we can drive traffic to you and you just, you don't have to leave the house. I'm like, whatcha even talking about? You know? So long story short again, because I could go on to it forever. But we had launched into the UK at that time and he created this.
System and drove traffic to it. And I brought in, I think it was like 17 market partners in that month from the uk. So [00:07:00] now my team was sort of watching like, what are you doing? How are you bringing in people from all around? As we were growing and getting into different countries and I've gotten my Cadillac, I got shares with the company, I got the founder shares.
And I grew, like, I grew multiple six figure business in that industry. So then we started to realize, my husband did at the time that, you know, there's this. System that you can have in place that network marketers lack. You know, they come in and they quickly think that I just need my, you know, my friends and my family.
And then when that runs dry, their network marketer, market network marketing business fails. Right? They've got nowhere else to go to. So if they had a system in place that would allow them to track people and build a global diversified team, this is like the breadwinner. This is where you're seeing the real big bucks coming in in your space.
And I had seen it over and over again, so I was like that. Proven of the product sort of thing that yes, it's tried, tested and it works. So we had started growing and scaling this business, but then I realized really quickly that it just felt strange. 'cause I was working so closely with all these Monique market partners, but yet I'm building their systems, but yet I'm also a market partner.[00:08:00]
So there was this sort of back and forth in my head. I'm like, Hmm, I can't do them both. I just feel it just doesn't feel right. So I made the decision about. Oh, three years. So just over, well, four years ago now. To leave the business, I lost a lot of friends over it. People get very tight knit in a community.
You know, and for me to, to leave, I had a really tight Facebook group that I was offering training all the time onto it. I built a system called the Pink Vault, so it's. That was daily content that, that goes to your email every day for network marketers. And I left the Cadillac the shares, the founder shares.
I had people telling me this is, you know, just it's your shares. Like why would you leave that? It can be worth so much, but when you are passionate about something, you will quickly realize that you're not money driven. Like, that's what I quickly realized because it's so funny, I had this like goal in mind of hitting, you know, Five K a month and then 10 K a month, and then 20 k a month.
And I've surpassed all of those and I've, and I've tripled those. And I quickly realized that I'm not money driven. There's so much more beyond that, and it's creating an [00:09:00] impact. And it's how many more lives can I change? So I just became, you know, full well co-owner of AK Social House and helping network marketers, but it's allowed me to scale into all network marketing companies.
So Monet Q Scientists. Savvy Saints Bellamy and working with leaders in the space or people that have just joined and are brand new and helping them to build a diversified team by having that proper system in place and building your own personal brand. So we always believe with AQ social host that you are the star of your show.
Yes, you've got an amazing product or service that people wanna buy from you, so let's show them how freaking amazing you are. And that's kind of how you and I got to chatting. So that's, you know, kind of, kind of us in a nutshell. And we've Built a, a multiple seven figure business on that side. And now we've got a media team that's growing in Orange County and we're helping influencers launch their podcast.
We're actually creating a reality TV series or YouTube series. It's called The Real White House. So that actually just launched yesterday, so August 23rd. They're August 22nd, 2023. That was the [00:10:00] first date of episode one. So that's on YouTube. You can find that that's production of AK Social Host.
So lots of exciting things happening on this end. Oh my gosh, I did not even know that. And I'll make sure to link that in the show notes. Of course, with all of the things and where, 'cause I'm, I know you already have so many people like, oh, what I need this, what does she, what does she have? And I can tell you, you should definitely book into a free consultation, which is exactly how we met, to find out if what, you know, if all of these tools and resources, which of course are an investment.
But if you are, and a lot of my listeners are at that place where they are ready to scale where from where they are, they wanna. Solid brand in place and they really don't know how to collectively make all those things work together. Yeah. Amber's your girl. She's amazing. And I, yeah, you, you guys got, have gotta check her out.
But as you're sharing your story, it ties me back and my listeners will probably be picking up on this as well, to a recent episode that I did where I talked about adding an additional or trying to grow an additional leverage or passive income stream. And it can be so tempting, and I know you [00:11:00] working inside the industry, you see a lot of movement with people trying to either do multiple companies or jumping companies.
The whole grass is greener, and I wanna get into that. But what I love is, one of the two pieces that I, that I recommended on there is the only time you should look at adding an additional income stream is if, number one, you already have a passive income stream where you are now, which it sounds like you totally did when you started AK Social House.
And then number two, when you have that kind of heart change or that desire or realization, even if it wasn't that way in the beginning, that you need to go all in somewhere else. And my story is very similar with my boutique when I started. My business. I never dreamed of leaving. Never. I even, there's videos out there where I'm like, oh, selling wedding dresses when I'm 90.
Well, no, the Lord had other plans for me, thank goodness, because now I know I'm so much more aligned in what I'm doing. And like you said, you know the money's great and that's awesome that we've been able to build these businesses. But if you're not driven by something deeper than that, a passion and a purpose that's tied to who you were made to be and how you serve people [00:12:00] through those gifts.
None of it's gonna be fulfilling the ranks, the money, the cars, the whatever, the other company, the shiny object, like it's, it's not gonna mean anything. So I love that you beautifully exemplify that. So I want to dive into that. Just hit it straight, straight on. And you kind of asked me a similar question on your podcast interview, which we'll link that as well with me.
What have you seeing out there in the industry? 'cause you work with tons of different, you know, leaders. Pretty much every company that's out there, you've seen it all. What are you feeling about the, the kind of season that the network marketing space is in right now? Yeah, I'm, I mean, I'm glad that we're having this, this topic this conversation on your podcast because I've had a couple of podcasts where I've had leaders.
I've actually had a leader on my podcast who is with one company, and then she came back and messaged me and said, I need to redeem myself. Can I get back on your podcast? I've left that company and I've jumped over to another company and I wanna talk about that, and I thought, Ooh. I had people saying, what are you doing, Amber?
This is not the Jerry Springer podcast. And I said, well, it's [00:13:00] not that, but people wanna know and they wanna learn and understand all those things. So it's, and because I'm not in that space, I felt it was allowing people to have that. Platform that they could just be open, be very transparent. I'm not gonna, you know, backlash any company or say this company is better than that company.
I'm just here to say, here's a space for you to openly talk about what you're going through, because guaranteed there's somebody else out there that's going through the same thing. And I've, I've seen it a lot. Last year there was a lot with one company that they were leaving and going to another compensation plans were fluctuating, compensation plans were getting enhanced in one company that's, you know, been around for a long time, but all of a sudden they've made.
Three, four or five different adjustments to their comp plan, and now it's turning into that shiny new object, right? So, another company is sort of looking at it, saying, Ooh, I, you know, wanna have a little bite over there. And, and then what, what's kind of hard is you'll see maybe like a handful of gals that will go over and they'll make that shift and then they've gotten that massive success.
Maybe they've brought people from their team over, or they've [00:14:00] already had that influence there. You can say what you want, but if you are an influencer or, or a top leader in your space and you decide to leave, you've already built. So much trust in that team, are they not gonna leave with you? You're not gonna have to beg them.
They're probably gonna wanna go and follow along. 'cause they want that leadership, they want that mentorship. So you look at the two things. One, you're allowing her to get that instant boost that she's gonna, you know, jump into all these different ranks so quickly. So now people are like, oh my God, I gotta go over there.
Like, look how quick she did it. But really you're not really seeing on the backend, who did she take with her? Which I know is definitely against compliance and whatnot and you can't do, but then you also look on the other side and say, well, You've got this massive team and that's somebody's sideline that's built and you know, they've worked together to do that.
So I just feel like it's so, it's such a, like a sad, you know, upsetting thing to do, but a lot of people are lose friendships over it because you're building this community in the same sense that people can get a little bit kind of catty about, about all of that. I always thought. If you were like a nurse and you decide to move to a different hospital, I don't think the nurses would [00:15:00] really care.
They would probably get you like a cake and wish you well. But when you're in network marketing and you decide to go somewhere else, it's not the case. There's, you know, there's a lot of things that happen, so I feel like you can have, I. A positive outcome if you do it the right way. But are you doing it for the right reasons?
That's the number one question. You know, you can do it the right way and say, I love, and I'm completely obsessed with these products. I'll never stop using them. My team, my mentor is amazing. I've just chosen a different path. I think that's fine. That's great. So pursue your different path and and always encourage and be grateful for what you know you've been given on the other side.
Are you choosing that for that right reason, and is that gonna take you to that next level that you want in your business? Because I've worked with network marketers in every single company, and they all have their own benefits of the comp plan. One's got this amazing thing, the other one lacks that. The other one's got this.
They all have their own sort of set ways of doing things, but they're all fantastic. You know, aside from maybe. Two or three minor little ones. But the ones that are, that are really out there, that people are talking about you know, are, they all have their, their great things [00:16:00] and they all have these amazing communities and, you know, this corporate that are, are helping them grow.
So I think it really comes down to asking yourself, am I making the right decision or am I doing it in the right way of, of that? And if it's because you think that you're gonna just make more money by going over to that company, then I would say that you're highly mistaken. And you're gonna leave that little bit of business that you've put all this time and energy into to come over and to maybe set yourself up for some disappointment to say, ~shit,~ I left that.
Now I got a bad taste in, in the mouth of all these, you know, people in my community, I've been posting on social for the last few years of promoting this. All of a sudden I'm moving over here. There's so many different factors that that plays in. So if you're in the network marketing space, You have a great product and your comp plan is great and you've built that community, my advice would be to stay with that company.
And some people might not like that, that answer, but that's just, that's just me. I'm not with the company. So that's just my advice. I would just say to stay with that company. Maybe it's having a season, maybe they've made an adjustment and you don't like it. That's fine. I would get over the [00:17:00] hurdle and I would just keep pushing forward because you loved that product from the beginning.
You fell in love with that company. You've built it so remain passionate, you remain authentic. People are just gonna respect you more for doing that, and you can have these lows and dips, but don't allow yourself to just get, get kinda alert in by all this, like, you know, onstage or great social media that you're seeing from some other company and think, oh my God, I need to go have that too.
That's, that's never, that's never. How it happens really. No, you're so right. And I think you can be inspired by the success of someone else in, you know, in another company. And bring that energy and bring what's working for that person to your business where you are. Yes, yes. You know, as opposed to feeling like, oh, if I go follow her, you know, then I'm gonna, then I'm gonna have the same success.
'cause again, she might have a hu, I recently did another podcast episode talking about that, that can, you know, that top influencer who has hundreds of thousands of followers go add in an affiliate link or something like that and be able to have what appears to be success. [00:18:00] Over, you know, in this other company.
Yeah, sure she can. But you know, I love hearing your heart, given that you, you are a neutral position, right? And you work with countless leaders and seeing that. So I do wanna talk specifically, 'cause I think I'm with you, that if someone is choosing to pursue a different path and they're going all in, like I am all in support of that.
And you know, I do actually think that we should be better about supporting people who make those, you know, those heart changes, right? Yes. Like, you know, when you decided to go all in with AK Social House, you know, it was a difficult. Position, but it was something that was, was the right. Freedom choice for you in that moment.
So I think we should celebrate that. But what do you see when someone tries to, 'cause I think it's kind of a new industry buzzword, this whole affiliate leap. You know, they're trying to kind of play into this influencer role, which you work with some of the, you know, the best ones out there. How do you feel like trying to navigate growing two businesses?
Like do you feel like it can be done or is that maybe reserved for someone who just wants more like the affiliate side of the income versus like the passive income income that comes from a team? Yeah. How do you [00:19:00] see that working? In terms of I, I love this conversation and it can go, it can go maybe like one of two ways because there's the network marketer who's just maybe just joined, maybe is up one or two ranks, hasn't quite built that influence and that authority in her niche, yet she's, you know, she's maybe making a couple hundred dollars a month in her business and maybe she has, you know, one or two team members or nobody.
She just, she's just working the, the sales side of things. So there's that network marketer. Who loves the products, who's in it to just, you know, make a little bit of money and not really seeing the big picture of what she can do to create massive success. So she sees an affiliate link to make a little bit here, and she sees an opportunity to make a little bit here.
So those are links that are all in her bio, in link tree or milkshake, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, all these different links, right? Take my quiz, take this, join this, you know, get a, a coupon code, discount code, all of those things. So that's one network marketer. If she's not fully focused and driven in this path of I'm, I'm gonna go to six figures and beyond in my network marketing space.
I wanna retire from my day job. I wanna do this full-time. [00:20:00] This is what I'm in. I wanna build a team, I wanna be a mentor. If she doesn't have that mindset, Then that works for her, I think, you know, to just have all these little, these little affiliate links, but she's not gonna grow much more beyond that.
It's just gonna, you're gonna make, and they're so small. If you have no influence, you're looking at making $10 here, five bucks here. I m I remember somebody said, I have an Amazon storefront, and I'm like literally seeing like cents, like 30 cents, six. I'm like, Unless you have like this big massive influence that people are going on your storefront and they're buying every day, the outfits and the home goods and everything that you have to offer, it's very hard to make that massive income that's actually income that you could replace with something else in that industry.
So, so those are the network marketers that I would say, you know, You're kind of wasting your time. You're dropping in these little links, but focus on one thing and build your authority in that space so people will start listening to you provide value. Don't just drop a a coupon code. The more value that you can give and the free knowledge that you can give, people will start to say, oh wow.
You know, she's the real deal. She's got, you know, Something [00:21:00] knowledgeable to offer rather than just, you know, giving me all her codes to grab some, some discounted products. But then you have the influencer over here that has built a six figure income in the network marketing space. So let's say, you know, a leader in Saint, for example, and she's on social media and she's providing amazing tutorials with her makeup and showing you different things and amazing value.
She drops a link to say, I'm also an affiliate with this amazing, like, I know like eyelashes and you can get 50 bucks off. I say have at her because it's in line with what she's doing. She's already built her influence, she has authority in her space and she's offering a product or a service that's complimentary to the business that she's, that that's like her bread and butter.
So if you're like 90% your network marketing business and 10%, you've got all these extras. But those extras are really not so much of like, oh, I want the $5 or the $10 referral fee. It's more of. These are just things that are value added to my client base. You know, to my viewers, to my audience. If I can show them a way to get amazing skin on top of the [00:22:00] makeup that I'm doing, that's fantastic.
If I can show them a way to like get a great blowout by using this specific brush, you know, and you can grab 10 bucks out, that's fantastic. So I think there's like a, almost like two different paths there that you really need to look at and sit back to say, Hmm, do I have the ability to like, Offer all these different little things you do if you've already established that business.
If you haven't, you're, you're just putting more energy into all different multiple things. Whereas if you put all that focus energy into one, you have a better shot of actually seeing a return on that investment and starting to see your bank account grow versus dipple dabbling in it into everything that's, That would be my advice.
Yeah, that makes sense. And I think a lot of people are right in the middle of that, or you know, my listeners where they, you know, maybe, and I, I see that's where it's the hardest is when someone's in those middle ranks of, you know, top like five to 10%, you know, maybe top 2%. And then they might not have that big level of influence and they make that, you know, they, they take the shiny object and they feel like they can do 'em both [00:23:00] and right times.
It, it can hinder, hinder the success. But again, can someone who has that massive following, Be able to do that and, and should they be able to have the freedom to do it. If they have that gift and skillset to be an online influencer, which I've talked to extensively about, it's probably like one to 2% of, you know, network marketers that, that fit that bucket.
Then, you know, we have to be able to allow them the freedom to make that choice, especially in light of, yeah. Growing social media, you know? Exactly. And at the end of the day, everybody's looking for one solid reason. It's to, to build that influence that's gonna drive traffic to a product or a service that they have to offer so that they can, you know, feed their family, they can grow their business, they can, that's the end goal for everybody, whether you're.
Saying that I'm in omni marketing or I'm doing affiliate market, whatever it is, you have a product, you have a service, you have something at the end of the day that you're looking to get paid on, but in exchange for value, you know, that's, that's the difference of, of what you're offering. What we had done was the systems that we build, which is essentially a branded website [00:24:00] that's tied into a follow-up system.
If you look at a branded website right now, a lot of network marketers have a link in bio that just sends them to all these different links. Grab my coupon code, take my quiz, do this, do that. And there's no way to really follow up or see where they're at and where they can, where they can, you know, tie into, oh, you put something in your cart.
Let me just come back and, and check in with you. There's no way to really do that. So they've sort of lost that person. If you have all these different affiliates or things that you wanna offer, let's say you've got a podcast, you wanna blog, you wanna offer all this value to your space, that's when I come on and say, Then if you had this branded website, which is what we specialize in, that's amazing that you work with Saints or Monet or you know, Q Sciences or whatever that is, let's showcase that on your website.
But then let's build out dedicated spaces for your favorites. These are, you know, Heather's must haves or, you know, Heather's favorites. It's not like, go shop here, shop there. It's more of you saying that these are like my, my products that I like, love to dear, and I wanna share them with you. So now it's set up as a dedicated.
Face on [00:25:00] there versus trying to send them to all these different little points of action to try to get a couple bucks here, a couple bucks there. But when they're on this face, they get to say, oh wow. I can learn all about Heather. I can learn that she's, you know, faith first and you know, she's got a family and she's growing and she's mentoring.
Oh, and she's got courses. And there's so many amazing things about Heather. She's the real deal. This is an entrepreneur and I'm on her platform and look at, oh, she's got a pop up here. I'm gonna get in her email. I wanna see what she's got to offer. That's building your business in the most authentic way.
And now when you have something to offer, whether it's a coupon code or an affiliate link, it makes more sense because you're not spammy, you're not being salesy, you're not just dropping it here and there, you're dropping it as it's just added value to you, the listener, or to you, the viewer. And I think that's the best way of doing it.
But I wouldn't, I wouldn't tell somebody like, Oh, you know, don't go offer a coupon code or don't go join that company, but don't go joining five different network marketing companies just because you're allowed to. And oh, they allowed me to join this and they allowed me to join that one. That doesn't matter.
You know, it's if you focus on [00:26:00] one, otherwise, you're the girl that down the street that sells everything from disc cloth to shampoo, to makeup, and. Skin care and skin care. You know, I'm your girl sort of thing. Don't be that girl. Be the niche girl that's like so focused and in love with one thing, and then maybe collaborates with others that can hook you up with those products.
You know, that would, that would be my advice. I think that's wise advice for sure. So you, I'm so glad you touched Sean. Specifically, the systems that AK Social House that you offer. Two network marketers and, and not just network marketers because I know, I actually do have a good bit of listeners. I was chatting with one of my girls, shout out to Melissa today.
She's, she's an amazing big fan of the podcast. It's not in network marketing. She actually had a bad experience in network marketing and she's like, I'm done. I still podcast 'cause it's still business gold, Heather. But anyways. So I know you work with entrepreneurs as well, so who exactly would you say is your ideal client in terms of the systems that you offer with the branded websites, the follow-up systems?
Who, who is what you serve for? I said, well, that's a great question and thanks for [00:27:00] asking that. 'cause it allows me to just talk about it in a, in such an authentic, great way. But it started out with the, we call it the busy network marketer. So a busy network marketer means that you are busy because you're a top leader in your.
Space. You are a mentor and you are so busy working, you know, on your business. You have no time to get in there and follow up with people and create new leads and new prospects because you're mentoring and you're teaching. So that's one version of a busy network marketer. But then there's the busy network marketer who is a mom.
She still works full-time on her day job. She's cooking and cleaning and doing all those things, but yet she's trying to create this side hustle that she wants to convert into an income that can actually supplement her day job. That's still a busy network marketer, but there are two different levels. So what the beauty of the system is that it can support both of those network marketers.
Whether you're a top leader or you're somebody that's just joined. What I believe in truly is that you, if you're gonna get into this space, you need to be open to investing in yourself and investing in your business. You don't, you know, it's not free to just go and, and buy a franchise. If you wanna start running a Starbucks, it's millions of [00:28:00] dollars.
If you wanna open up a pizza plate, you know it's hundreds of thousands of dollars. So you've invested, you're in your business in a box or your freeway to join or whatever that is in your network marketing space. And a lot of people have this sort of perspective of, oh, you know, it costs me a hundred bucks.
I'm just gonna, you know, build the business on my own. That's great. But if you wanna fast track it and you wanna. Get above others in the space. And you wanna really niche down into that. You know that avatar and you wanna be the authority. And this is something that you wanna grow and scale off. And maybe someday you wanna launch a podcast that's gonna provide value, or you wanna launch a blog that's gonna give people knowledge and tips.
You need a dedicated space to do that. And Instagram can be taken away in the fly if Facebook can be restricted in the fly. And then where's, where's your business? If Instagram shut down tomorrow? Five years ago, I would've been completely screwed. But if Instagram shuts down tomorrow, that's great. I've got, you know, 50,000 people in my email list that I've been building up.
I'm, I'm not going anywhere. I'll just pop up on a new account somewhere, you know? So you have to have something in place to follow up with people. [00:29:00] You need to have your email list that you're building out, whether it's for your clients or your, or your, or the business prospects. That's building your own community so that in a year or two or six months down the road, if another opportunity presents itself to you and you wanna grow and scale and do other things, you have this platform to share it on.
And that's exactly what you had had, Heather. 'cause I got so excited to hop on a call. We were doing a demo and I'm like, hold on a second. You, you, you, you got it all pretty much lined up here. We could have ended the call right then and been like, you're, you're good. You got a system, you know, next. But we just kept on, had this conversation because when you get a system and a system, I'm talking about like having a website in place and when we call it a system and it's hybrid, it means you have like a pop-up somewhere that's gonna get people in to get their email address so that you can capture their information and be able to follow.
Follow up with them. That's what we call a system. When you have a website in place, if you just have a landing page or you build some website on Canva or, or you know, a Wix and you just have this freebie and there's nothing on there to to, to get their email, there's nothing on there to follow [00:30:00] up.
There's no tracking code. There's no way to follow the audience to see who has come to visit that. Then you're just leaving all of these connections and all of these prospects just kind of out there to just go to somebody else. So, so that's what it really comes down to, but it can serve anybody. And the great thing is, is that a lot of these systems, if you, if you do your research, you're looking at thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars into these systems, especially for entrepreneurs, it can be up worth of $10,000.
We've created a system called the Hybrid System that's focused specifically for network marketers. And it's priced at a point that network marketers can invest in because a lot of the times they get in and they haven't made more than a couple hundred dollars with their business. So to invest five, $10,000, that just seems, you know, I'm a stay-at-home mom.
I just, I got a business in a box because I need to make money. I can't spend money. And and we've, we've taken that into consideration and we've built out different tiers to be able to serve that audience as well. Oh yeah, I, I, of course, even I honored so much the fact that you said, okay, I dunno that you're the perfect client for us.
But I [00:31:00] was like, I still wanna see, show me all the things because I'm sure you know, and I actually had several leaders that came to mind right away from seeing it. And I do think that it is an affordable way to implement the type of systems that I have had to build on my own and with my amazing assistant.
But we spent months you know, tons of hours. We had to kind of figure it out and it was very much a d I Y thing. So to be able to turn it over to people who have done this in this space, and it's not just you, you've got an amazing team that you've built over there that does everything from the content creation side, right?
Like video production you know, to web developers, funnel builders. We got it all. Yes. In-house team over here. We're based out of LA and and it started out with a small little team of three and it's grown to. 13 now, and we haven't, we have a new project coordinator starting on Tuesday. So the team is just really fastly growing.
But there's a difference between bringing somebody in in like a social media agency. There's so many out there that can build you a website, do email marketing, build you a follow-up system, build you a funnel. [00:32:00] If they're not niched down into that. Space and they don't know how to talk to your audience and they don't know how to speak to your avatar.
It's, it's just another funnel and it's just another website, you know, and, and most clients that come on and have a call with me, they'll say, this looks fantastic, but like, I don't even even know what to say. That's where we come in. You don't need to talk about your products because we've already built out hundreds of websites for MON eight and hundreds for Mode, and every other company that's.
Out there, so we know already what your compensation plan is, what your business, you know, looks like the joining options, what those products look like, the best sellers, all of those things. So we, you know, create you a little folder and get some amazing pictures of you. And bam, we filled out your system in a couple of weeks.
So, it's a, it's a pretty simple plug and play process that we have. And you have a process and a system that. Just compliments what I do. And it was like, we should just be doing all these things together. It was fantastic. That's, I loved that. So for those of you guys who already have invested in my Automate to replicate course, or if you're on the waiting list, 'cause I will be opening that back up more on that in a minute.
But if, if you're, you know, [00:33:00] Kinda wanting something a little bit next level, or again, you're like, I don't have time to do a d I Y system. I need somebody to just set this up for me. And mine doesn't have anything to do with like a website or personal branding. It's more the follow up side of the systems.
That's what's super cool is what Amber offers. Like she said, it's, it's, it's kind of for a little bit of a different, Leader, a different type of person. And so I love that they compliment each other. And so on that note, I definitely, I wanna go ahead and announce something really exciting. So even though the details are coming together, but Amber and I are actually gonna be partnering up with some other top, you know, mentors and top coaches and content creators, people who have systems and tools that compliment.
Each other like ours does. And we're gonna be putting together a free virtual summit, so an online summit. So wherever you are in the world listening, you can join and it'll be later this fall. We're working on the details, but if you wanna go ahead and text the word summit to my business cell, which is 9 1 2 4 0 5 8 9 1 2, you can be on the waiting list to kind of get that, the more information as it comes.
[00:34:00] But Amber was all about it and I was so excited. You know, so excited for. Yes. So I would love to know, for those who are wanting to connect with you more or learn more about it or do the demo, what would be the best starting point or place for, for them to connect with you? I. The easiest one to remember is behind her boom, because that's my, that's my podcast page.
AK Social House is our main account for our business, for our social media agency. If you wanna connect with me personally, then it's my first name, last name, which is Amber l Rfi, a l r i f a I. It used to be the Social Savvy Mama, and it took me two years to remove that because people thought I was with Savvy.
So whenever I was messaging her comment, they're like, I'm not interested in Savvy, like I'm not with Savvy, so I had to remove it and it was just, it was easy to remember and, and whatnot. And my last name's not the, the easiest to remember, but it's Amber or AK Social House might be the, the simplest way to reach out to the business, but.
Yeah, this, I mean, this has been fantastic, Heather. I feel like we [00:35:00] could do this on a monthly basis and just get in here and, and give people value and just talk about what's going on in, in the industry and in the space. It goes through seasons for sure. And and you're just with such a phenomenal company.
I mean, every time I hop on a call with somebody with Saint, it's nothing but, oh, my community's the best, my community's the best. So I hear it over and over again. It's, it's pretty special. I'm definitely grateful for that for sure, and I'm. So glad to have been connected with you and to be able to share your story, and again, to collaborate more in the future.
So thank you again, Amber, for being on today. Thank you. Thanks for having me, Heather. Yay, y'all have a great week.
